my ex and I have been broken up for over a year now. He just recently found out about my new guy and has been harassing me ever since with weird text messages, like "xoxo" and emails. My boyfriend saw a message and got mad. Why, after over a year, is he doing this? Does he want me to be miserable?

Yup, you got it he wants you to be miserable. But why should you be you got this new guy. Just ignore him and he will leave you alone. If he comes by your house or calls you tell him that you have move on to your life and leave it at that. Don't get into a long heart felt conversation. Remember he is you ex, its over. If he still bothers you tell him that you'll call the police. Call them and tell them whats going on. They'll call him and tell him to leave you alone. Trust me it works.

You are going through the same thing I just went through. You don't have to do what I did but it took having her charged with harassment and no contact at all. The sad thing is she left me. He is trying to make your life miserable. Hopefully your boyfriend understands what is going on. Just give it a little time and the stuff will stop. I would think !!!!

Why don't you consult with your boyfriend about this problem? Don't be afraid and just tell him the true. If he loves you then he will understand your problem. You can also ask your ex boyfriend for the reason of harrasing you.
Have you informed your family members about this problem.
If you don't then go and consult with them.

Yes, he does. He is jealous. Doesn't want you but doesn't want anyone else to have you.
Tell your ex to leave you alone and tell your current boyfriend to grow up. The messages are TO you not FROM you.

Sometimes people don't realize what they had til they see someone else has got it. Remind your boyfriend that He sent you the text&tell him if he sends you anymore. Just be honest with your boyfriend & hopefully all will go well.
