Sure, fun people is a big thing ... but sometimes it's worth putting up even with flaming.

What makes a good forum? Answers that are "right"? Answers that are sorta fun?

How about answers that turn into conversations ... or, a little more serious, discussions.

I have my own idea ... I'm wondering what y'all think. (I don't want to get it wrong! *grin*)

I like it if I can get into a debate with someone. It's harmless fun, unless the person who wants to debate is "delicate."

That fact of the matter is the people is what makes a forum good or back. You can have all the best Idea's in the world but if you do not have the right people there to backyou up then you have nothing.

I am all for an "open dialog", until I get nasty messages from other users calling me nasty names,( racist, ignorant, shallow) when I have no idea what they are refering to, I am of mixed race. oh, sorry but a good forum has to have active conversation, both ways. Did I mention that the other person does not except mssgs through Yahoo Answers, but that person sends them. So I think you have to have ??= response/answer, then the conversations/dialogs start...

A forum with good participants is worth going back with no bad questions and answers.
