Recently, a cat killer in Singapore has been sentenced for a cruel act of torturing cats slowly and eventually killing them.
However, I and many others felt that his sentence is way too little and we need to step up on this.

To Puppy Zwolle: people like u deserve to be the one abused. Then maybe i would agree by then, that the abuser paid his dues by serving ONE day in jail.
Regardless of how much u dislike an animal, a race, a particular person whatsoever, that does not give u or anyone the right to abuse. it is ridiculous if u killed or injured whoever u disliked. In my point of view, that person would be mentally ill if he did that...and dito to whoever agrees with that behaviour. I would suggest u not live in this century if u think in this manner..i think u belong to the stone age.
Furthermore, it is twice worse when the abuse is done to someone who is unable to retaliate back. And normally, these people choose to target these harmless animals. I think they probably have some ego issues and they need to feel the authority by abusing a harmless creature. Why didn't they pick on someone their own size...why a harmless cat? And the barbaric, sadistic way they do the abuse is uncalled for and inhumane. ONE DAY IN JAIL IS NOT JUSTIFIABLE.

From what i think, i think he should be sentenced for LIFE. That is outright cruel. They have no reason to be tortured and killed. They are harmless creatures living on Earth. This killer's sentence is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH too short. He can just stay in jail for two months, get out, and kill some more cats, and do the same thing over and over! Oh, and jason d, you have no heart. no offense, but how can you say that or do that?

Is it wrong, yes. I have the belief that we should be able to kill them the same as they intentionally killed the animal. Same goes with people if you kill them you should die the same way. That probably makes me sound cold and cruel, but that is my thought. There probably isn't a lot we can do. It is in another country and most of those could careless what Americans think about animals. There are times here I think we should have stiffer laws. But there is only so much that they can do.

Animal abusers never get the sentences they deserve. I think they should be tortured in the same way the tortured the poor animal.

The punishment of 8 weeks sentence actually is very harsh. Just compare a lady (undergraduate) knocked down a pesdestrain causing death, failed to stop, asked her mother to lodge false report saying she was the driver....only fine $5000. Don't human life not more valuable than cats?? Please take into consideration that the cat killer are of a bit unsound mind.

cats are living thing as well. 8 weeks sentence is not enough. there. if you ask me...jail him for 4 months and 3 strokes of the cane!!

to those who feel that cats or animals should be abused, i SINCERELY hope that 1 day you'll be abused in the same way or even worse.. please use your brains before answering.. the animals are not there for people to abuse.. how would you feel if you were being abused? unless you tell me that you loved being abused, then i've got nothing to say.

It was a cat and only because it was on camera it is such a big deal.
He got his day in court and that is the end of it.
