They would die stupid but happy, rather than knowledgeble, but knowing the world is fully of idiots like they would've been otherwise.

I'm not a member of a religious group, and I believe that evolution is a believable theory, but I would not cite this new discovery as evidence quite yet!
It's ape credentials seem beyond doubt, but the human half of the equation is pretty spurious. The finder believes that the brain of the youngster is undeveloped and would have grown into a more human-looking brain over the lifetime of the creature. That is hardly scientific proof, is it?

This evidence is not undisputable. You would need to check a genetic sample to prove it. The chromosome count should match and you should find genetic tracers in modern humans. Saying that one thing evolves from another because they look similar is like saying hub caps can evolve from frisbees.
I give you an example in nature. Donkeys and horses look like similar creatures to zebras, right? So how come their offspring are mules, that is, incapable of reproduction.
There is no evidence that this creature is related to humans any more than a donkey is related to a zebra.

I wish someone would post a link to this news. This is the second time I've seen a post about it and I have heard nothing about it. Please post a link to a news article or something.
Edit: Jadamgrd, you know nothing of evolution except what the Christians tell you to make it seem stupid. Christians think that evolutionists believe that turtules will sprout wings tomorrow and take flight. You moron, read some books on the subject because you DO NOT know anything about evolution if you think that mutations have to occur in a male and female simultaneously for a new species to form.

There are some people who, having made up their mind, simply do not care to be disturbed by anything as inconvenient as a fact. In general, it is not possible to prove that a scientific theory is correct, but in the case of evolution, it is, and I have done so. Persons interested in the details can contact me via avatar.

I don't know.
How I managed to be comfortable with the idea of evolution and not have it conflict with my spiritual beliefs is beyond me.
I think there was a real shift from cro-magnum man to homo-sapien and the sudden burst of success. Or maybe it was neanderthal to cro-magnum. I don't know and never spent too much time worrying about it.
As a Christian, I never thought much about the time before Abraham. From then on, history works just fine. Before then? Time was all wonky.
But .. I'm a peace with it all. It fits and I don't feel bothered by dinosaurs or ...really, anything at all!

Where IS the proof? I would put this to you. When new parents have a child, the very last thing they want is for that child to be ANY DIFFERENT from them. Not one iota of change. But evolution totally depends on gradual change. So if evolution is valid, should not the parents actually LOOK FORWARD to slight changes in their offspring possibly resulting in improved physical and mental ability. But they do not, do they. they want no change at all. Any changes, no matter how small, are regarded as DEFORMITIES.

Because it's nonsense. All they found was another ancient ape not human skeleton. Just diversity in God's creation, nothing more. There is never a complete skeleton either, just fragments and pieces, man still has to fill in the blanks and he uses a lot of imagination while doing so. HAHAHAHA, mans imagination. Worldly wisdom which is foolishness with God.

You know they can come up with all the evolution ideas, proofs, etc. I will continue to believe in God and a Higher Power. Nothing can change that, I will continue to treat other people with dignity, love, and respect. When I die I will do one of two things, I will stay dead, or I will rise to meet my savior. Of course I know it is the latter, but I would have lost nothing, and I would have gained so much, just by being a nice, loving person.

Perhaps evolution is part of the process!
Maybe some dirty dude did the dirty deed with a female chimp and reared that 1 off?
How many more have been found then?
Freak of nature ...I think, maybe?
LOL
