I've been on a few dates over the past few months with a beautiful woman that I am crazy about and extremely attracted to in every way, but not really lustfully. During this time, I've had only one dream about her (that I can remember).

The dream was just the two of us holding each other and I think maybe slow dancing. It seemed SO real like she was really touching my back. Even after I woke up it felt like she had really just touched me. What does this mean? What does this reveal about my feelings for her?

Ever since this dream (which was within a day or two after our first date), I've just wanted to hold her and get that feeling back. By the way, we haven't done anything sexually on our dates. I like her too much to try to start that at this point and risk complicating things.

Please no wise-a s s comments from guys that think they're too cool to dream about such things.

Your subconscious mind is in a state of "wish fulfillment". You are obviously desiring her but you are holding back in real life for fear of rejection or screwing the friendship up. Your mind is urging you to go with that feeling and act upon it. If you have been on a few dates over several months, it may be time to "make your move", else you will just be "just a friend". Don't pounce on her in 3 seconds, talk to her about your dream and tell her honestly that you really WANT her. Be a man and don't be mincy. The worst she can say is "we're just friends". If that's the case, you know where you stand and you don't risk wasting your time. You can move to someone else.

If she wants you back - cha-ching!

It sounds like you are craving emotional intimacy with this woman. Not sure if that's the kind of relationship you've sought in the past, but if not it may be time for a change. Time to grow and focus on the more important aspects of being involved with someone.

Don't be discouraged that you've only had the one dream; there can be plenty of opportunities for making real memories if the way you write about her is any indication.

Its a great way to understand dreams as well there is a forum to discuss. In many ways I would assume that you have deeper feelings for her. Wanting more from the relationship to start a deeper meaning. I know my husband had these dreams and if you were to ask him he would tell you that its because we were each other soul mates. Just remember its the beginning of a relationship still - take it slow.

I will just say this, YOU ARE A RARE BREED! I think this simply means that you sincerely care about her, above and beyond sex. In other words, you respect her. I don't know anything more than what you have written, but I think that this girl might have beat the odds and found a really great guy. I hope she feels the same way about you! Lastly, I will say that you give a good name to the guys like us who really care. Thanks,J

It sounds a lot like your unconscious counterpart reflecting the conscious state. Dreams are often linked to obsessions. If you ever try cramming math theorems into your head the night before a mid-exam, you'll find yourself solving problems in your dream. Some folks don't like to admit their obsessions or the things they constantly think about. Those thoughts normally lurk about in a reserved area in "the back of your mind." They tend to crawl out when you don't consciously suppress them with the trivial thoughts of the day. Chances are, you constantly think about your girlfriend, but also find yourself focusing on daily tasks. Thoughts of her end up finding their way to your unconscious side.

You're holding back lustful thoughts or feelings and you had them right away. You want to touch her soooooo badly, sooo much!
Maybe you messed up in the past by getting involved too quick sexually/physically and this time youre trying to 'do the right thing'.

It means that u already feel some early form of love for her and that she is so much on your mind that she permeates your subconscious and shows up in your dreams ..also u can see yourself being romantic with her- not just sexual so good luck .. I hope your dream comes true!

I would think you are just longing to get close to her in a non-sexual way. I think that it is cool of you to want to be near her but not on her. Kudos to you! :)

In your dream she was touching you intimately, but not sexually. Your dream is telling you that intimacy is a great start...embrace it.
