In the late 30's every german boy was presented with a copy of Hitler's Mein Kampf on his 13th Birthday. I'm not catholic, german, or a nazi, but what he did when was a kid shouldn't be held against him now. And if I were 13 in say 1939 i would have joined the Hitler Youth and so would have you.
Will he stop pedo priests? Will he call corporations to be accountable for their treatment of their workers? Will he actually convert to protestantism and become a real Christian? probably no on all

Well, since you would have had to join the Hitler Youth about 60 years ago, you'd be pretty damn old to become Pope by now....

Membership wasn't exactly optional.... besides a 10 year old kid knew little about what was going on 'behind closed doors' - it was more like the boy-scouts to him..... so get real

People were basically forced to join, it wasn't like there was a lot of choice, or that he agreed with what was being done.
