ok so i didn't mean to piss anyone off and if i did too bad.... i live in minnesota and have worked for a major taxi company for the past 3 years... and all of the charity groups that PAY for the taxi fare are for people that you can't even pronounce their names... we are haveing to close schools cause there is not enough money to go around and here we are paying anywhere from $50 to $500 bucks a day (A DAY!!) so these people can go to doctors appts and all sorts of stuff... (Maybe put that money into our schools and houseing for people that need it...?)Thats a free ride for them and its coming out of taxpayers pockets.. instead all this free medical insurance for foreiners and "tax free for 7 years" why not make them pay taxes... all i am saying is we can't support our own and its not our fault that they were born in some poor 3rd world country, so why can they come here and start turing America into one??

The system is broken but taking the bottom out of the basket will make all the tomatoes fall out not just the bad ones. The Gov needs to find a solution but as alwyas politics comes first.
There will never any real progress until we dump this stupid 2 party system we have and catch up to the rest of the world and create a trully representative government. Where the congress and house would be decided by vote % ...that way the parties and I do mean several parites (ussualy 5-20) will go for votes and not people backers..they will have to make and keep promises to keep seats in the house....Ex: If the green party gets 4% of the votes they get 4 seats if we are going by 100.
Any way the illegal immigrant issue is complex and will not get resolved because one side cries economincs (Rep) and the other cries Humanity(Dem) and the majority of the nation (moderates) cry for some sanity....none of which can trully be satisfied with out leaving one or both other crying period.

We can be the world's back, the world's army, the world's cupboard, but if we don't start looking after our own, there won't be an America soon. It annoys me that I and other Americans are paying taxes for people who can't pay theirs or the whole "tax free for 7 years" thing (which is stupid if you ask me). BECAUSE we're getting hosed in our checks, we can't take care of our own families or ourselves.
One of the things about America that hasn't changed, even after 9/11, is that we're still a country that takes in the tired, poor and hungry from other countries. It's just too bad that most of our own people can't take care of themselves, but we've always lent a hand to those who need it, and most of the time, it's not America's own people.
America is the only superpower left, and as an unfortunate result of that, we have to take care of everyone else, but eventually we'll have to start taking care of ourselves first.

The laws should be enforced, and they aren't. Your state should bill the Federal government for the services it provides because immigration is the Fed's responsibility.
A state cannot enforce immigration, you know. And neither can a hospital, for example. So the hospital should ascertain whether or not someone is illegal, and if they are, and they are forced to provide services, then they should bill it back to the Feds. Nice court case idea?
Maybe THEN the Federal govt will get the idea $$$ that it's a serious issue. After all, money is the universal language; I'm sure you agree, given your argument.

Im "white bread american" and I support the great melting pot as much as the next guy however, when a person from another country and culture moves into america NOT wanting to "blend in" but feed off of it like some parasite....thats wrong.
