i like this girl alot and we are in the same poly. we are very good friends and we (me and the girl) hang out with 6 other people doing movies, chalets and stuff. we as a group even went overseas together.
i like her but she doesnt know. i have this little gut feeling she likes me a little too. we are both in the same cca, bowling and recently she asked me out to get a bowling ball. am i reading too much into it? is she asking me out as a friend or a date?

You could test her : If she doesn't end up buying a bowling ball, it shows she's just using the 'bowling ball trip' as an excuse to get closer to you. If she brings along a friend when she meets you or she really ends up buying the bowling ball, it could mean you are just another friend to her. But then again, who's to say that friendships never blossom into love? If you are a nice and sincere guy, it'll only take a little while before she reciprocates your affection. Be patient!

Which is better, gaining a relationship or the chance of losing a friendship. If you think that getting involved and reading it the wrong way could ruin the friendship then thats enough to scare you out of it, but if not the friendship can become a "rut" that you get stuck in and cant get out of. If you do take the chance, the reward could be greater than the risk.

Yes, she likes you and the only thing she came up with was to get a bowling ball. Just extend the little shopping and have some coffee with her.

Well, she does like you and she may very well be attracted to you. Sometimes it's best to be upfront and ask ~ or hold her hand; girls like that if they are interested. Or you can do as ddg2sailor suggested and give her a kiss.
Wondering about it won't change the status quo - and it's usually better to know.
