Point of Life?
Point of breathing just to live and then die?
What is the point, if we are just going to die anyway?
Why are people so into their popularity, clothes, hair, etc. if after you die, none of that matters?
What do you believe comes after life?

What if we are not really living?
What if this isn't a dream, but it isn't a nightmare.
What if this doesn't exist at all?

To everyone that stated God.
If you saying the point of life is to believe in God(in any forms.)
Then to the people who don't believe in "God" is there no purpose for them, are they not living, are they unable to go to a better place after death?

We are here in this life to learn, and to advance spiritually. We are here to experience things for God. We are also here to be of service to others. :)

Do you breath to live or do you live to breath. You know it is true we all must die no one can escape it. So if we are going to die then what is the point of living you ask. There is no point if you have no desire or dream. Living is not about passing the time until we die. Everything that starts must end. There is no getting around being born. You were why and for how long you live that is not important, but how you spend your time on this earth is. Are you going to just pass your time away or are you going to be all that you can be. Me I live to breath and I do all that comes my way as we only go around once might as well take all i can get.

Very deep questions! I've had the same questions, and probably everyone has at one time or another.
I think of life as a kind of test. I'm sure there is more, as the majority of people just know in their gut that this life isn't all there is. The Bible is full of examples of how death leads to life. I believe after this life we either go to heaven to be with God for eternity... or to hell, which is separation from God.

If you are asking if there is any intrinsic point to life, then no, because a "point" is an opinion.
People are into material things because it makes them feel good about themselves. No all people are into these. The old pharse He who dies with the most toys wins. Guess what? I just don't care who has what or if they wear $300 shoes.
I think we all have something we have to do here. And something we must complete and learn before we die. Then I believe we all go on to a higher being that has called us.

"The purpose of life is a life of purpose." - Anonymous
Being a teacher, I know that in some way, I'll influence some kid that could very well influence, or possibly change, the world.
As for people being into popularity and what not... People have been self-centered since the dawn of time. When you break it down, being one of the 'popular crowd' is no more than being a glutton for attention. Though it is true that when you die, none of your physical belongings will help you in the afterlife, they are nice to have along for the ride while you're alive.

You sound depressed. Sometimes when bad things happen to us, and our families that we have no control over, we get depressed. If this is so, you need to recognize it. Remember this too will pass. It's easy to be happy when things are all great. Sometimes we have to make ourselves happy and force a smile. Stay rested, stay away from alcohol and drugs and do something that is good for soul. Like enjoy nature a bit.
I think I am here for other people. The trick is to enjoy some life in between the events that seem to test us.

Hi Cielo.
I'm not sure, but I think we take from it what we decide to take from it.
Sometimes it's hard until something really inspires you.
Then it seems to make more sense.
I wanted to write a song that would change the world. That make people think about how they treat each other and realize that we need to do it better.
I've written a lot of great songs, but none of them are really famous yet.

There's a grove of trees in Washington state that covers 23 square miles. All the roots are interconnected. Scientists traced the roots to find they were actually one root system, and the trees were actually one big organism.
Maybe that's the problem with us humans. We're so busy trying to find out what life means to "ME" that meaning of life eludes us.

God said "let us make man in our image, after our likeness"
We are the physical image of the spiritual God.
God is creating children thru mankind!
In other words we can be born again at the resurrection as spiritual beings in Gods Family.
We would be Gods children.

Congratulations on great--imPORTant questions.
Individual purpose: To know and to worship God
Collective purpose: To carry forward an ever-advancing civilication of man.
Point of breathing: To live joyfully using Instruction Manual that came with us. No such thing as death. Just transition. Like when we "died" to the wombworld, we were "born" into this workd. It was really just a transition. We existed there--we exist here. When we "die" to this plane of existence, we'll be "born" into the next plane of existence. Just transition. Each plane being the womb to the next existence. Worlds without end. Enjoy the ride!
There is a way to live life, joyfully. If you're not doing it, better find out how, or there is no point.
Because that's all they think they have. They don't understand that the real world is the inner world. Their clothes, hair, etc. are pure illusion. The only thing that's real is their popularity. When they transition to the next world, they're imagination, memory and personality is all that will go with them. Everything else will rot. The popularity part is the only important part. That will go with them.
I believe this comes after life:
60: THE IMMORTALITY OF THE SPIRIT (1)
223
Having shown that the spirit of man exists, 1 we must prove its immortality.
The immortality of the spirit is mentioned in the Holy Books; it is the fundamental basis of the divine religions. Now punishments and rewards are said to be of two kinds: first, the rewards and punishments of this life; second, those of the other world. But the paradise and hell of existence are found in all the worlds of God, whether in this world or in the spiritual heavenly worlds. Gaining these rewards is the gaining of eternal life. That is why Christ said, “Act in such a way that you may find eternal life, and that you may be born of water and the spirit, so that you may enter into the Kingdom.” 2
The rewards of this life are the virtues and perfections which adorn the reality of man. For example, he was dark and becomes luminous; he was ignorant and becomes wise; he was neglectful and becomes vigilant; he was asleep and becomes awakened; he was dead and becomes living; he was blind and becomes a seer; he was deaf and becomes a hearer; he was earthly and becomes heavenly; he was material and becomes spiritual. Through these rewards he gains spiritual birth and becomes a new creature. He becomes the manifestation of the verse in the Gospel where it is said of the disciples that they “were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, 224 but of God” 3 —that is to say, they were delivered from the animal characteristics and qualities which are the characteristics of human nature, and they became qualified with the divine characteristics, which are the bounty of God. This is the meaning of the second birth. For such people there is no greater torture than being veiled from God, and no more severe punishment than sensual vices, dark qualities, lowness of nature, engrossment in carnal desires. When they are delivered through the light of faith from the darkness of these vices, and become illuminated with the radiance of the sun of reality, and ennobled with all the virtues, they esteem this the greatest reward, and they know it to be the true paradise. In the same way they consider that the spiritual punishment—that is to say, the torture and punishment of existence—is to be subjected to the world of nature; to be veiled from God; to be brutal and ignorant; to fall into carnal lusts; to be absorbed in animal frailties; to be characterized with dark qualities, such as falsehood, tyranny, cruelty, attachment to the affairs of the world, and being immersed in satanic ideas. For them, these are the greatest punishments and tortures.
Likewise, the rewards of the other world are the eternal life which is clearly mentioned in all the Holy Books, the divine perfections, the eternal bounties and everlasting felicity. The rewards of the other world are the perfections and the peace obtained in the spiritual worlds after leaving this world, while the rewards of this life are the real luminous perfections which are realized in this world, and which are the cause of eternal life, for they are the very progress of existence. It is like the man who passes from the embryonic world to the state of maturity and becomes the manifestation of these words: “Blessed, therefore, be God, the most excellent of Makers.” 4 The rewards of the 225 other world are peace, the spiritual graces, the various spiritual gifts in the Kingdom of God, the gaining of the desires of the heart and the soul, and the meeting of God in the world of eternity. In the same way the punishments of the other world—that is to say, the torments of the other world—consist in being deprived of the special divine blessings and the absolute bounties, and falling into the lowest degrees of existence. He who is deprived of these divine favors, although he continues after death, is considered as dead by the people of truth.
The logical proof of the immortality of the spirit is this, that no sign can come from a nonexisting thing—that is to say, it is impossible that from absolute nonexistence signs should appear—for the signs are the consequence of an existence, and the consequence depends upon the existence of the principle. So from a nonexisting sun no light can radiate; from a nonexisting sea no waves appear; from a nonexisting cloud no rain falls; a nonexisting tree yields no fruit; a nonexisting man neither manifests nor produces anything. Therefore, as long as signs of existence appear, they are a proof that the possessor of the sign is existent.
Consider that today the Kingdom of Christ exists. From a nonexisting king how could such a great kingdom be manifested? How, from a nonexisting sea, can the waves mount so high? From a nonexisting garden, how can such fragrant breezes be wafted? Reflect that no effect, no trace, no influence remains of any being after its members are dispersed and its elements are decomposed, whether it be a mineral, a vegetable or an animal. There is only the human reality and the spirit of man which, after the disintegration of the members, dispersing of the particles, and the destruction of the composition, persists and continues to act and to have power.
This question is extremely subtle: consider it attentively. This is a rational proof which we are giving, so that 226 the wise may weigh it in the balance of reason and justice. But if the human spirit will rejoice and be attracted to the Kingdom of God, if the inner sight becomes opened, and the spiritual hearing strengthened, and the spiritual feelings predominant, he will see the immortality of the spirit as clearly as he sees the sun, and the glad tidings and signs of God will encompass him.
Tomorrow we will give other proofs.

The point of life is to keep creating life. Life exists because life likes to exist. If it didn't, you wouldn't be here to ask the questions. People are into their popularity primarily to appear either dominant, or sexy. Both of which contribute to finding a mate, and creating more life. It's basic science. All animals (and plants, insects...), have their way of attracting mates.
After life there is nothing. Its like a dream you don't remember. You feel nothing, you're gone. You don't exist. Don't believe the fairy tales of religion.

It seems to me that you just really need a hug. Everything matters because Satan has hurt all of us and he has hurt God and God really wants to make everything better for all of us---but, because we have free will, he won't make us have the good things he has planned for us. Please think about this...........this exasperating life is so temporary and then, soon, we get to see what God has in store for us--the way he really intended things to be--the REAL LIFE!! Hang in there, darlin'. The best is yet to come!!
