I will admit that i do not know a lot about what you are going through medical related but I can help with the gym thing. I find it hard to go too, I don't have many friends and the ones I do have don't work out. The hardest part about working out is getting to the gym... remember that. So tell yourself that you are going to go and if you get there and don't want to be there and feel sleepy you will just come home. I guarantee, apart from a few times, you will stay... even if it is just for a half an hour. Start small.

Maybe get a journal. Write down some small goals. Like I want to go to the gym 2 times this week for half an hour each time. Accomplish the goal and keep moving forward.

Get some music to listen to, you don't need to workout hard core like some of the crazies at the gym. Go for a walk outside... again, make a goal... say 2 walks half an hour each. Set small goals and build on them. For now I say don't focus on your weight focus on spending some time with just you and your thoughts. Get out of the house, get some fresh air and relax.

I hope this helped. I just really think that journals are great, Write down small goals and build on that. You will be accomplishing more then you ever thought possible. Congratulate yourself and look back through your journal at all you accomplished and smile :)

You need motivation? You have given every reason in the world why you should do it, now focus on WANTING to do it. Take a look in the mirror. Pick up a magazine and be realistic. Is there someone there, down to earth not a supermodel, that you would like to look like? Put the picture by the mirror or on it. Compare the two of you. There is no question in my mind, nor should there be in yours, that you can't have the body they have - if not better. Set that before you, and run for it. Don't listen to the mental excuses "I'm too tired, my throat's a little sore, I don't have much time, I'll just watch one tv show before I go". Shut off the voices, and get to the gym. Before you know it, you will feel at loose ends if you don't go.

Best wishes and good luck.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Buy one really sexy outfit, make it a size smaller (start slow) - then just stare at it everyday and repeat "I will wear this in one month". You know, no matter what we all say here, you are still going to do things your way - so the best thing to do is self hypnosis (not the crazy shrink stuff) but basic repeating of simple 'mantras' like "I am all energy", " I feel energy flowing through me", "I am a sexy as hell person and I need to get sexier", "There is a healthy beautiful body waiting for me".
To hell with the meds, those you have to take, so why make it an issue or excuse, they dont control you, you control them, so regardless how they make you feel, you should swear to feel like you want to feel. Have faith in yourself, the fact that you know you need motivation is good enough, most people remain lazy just coz they dont accept their situation. All the best, it wont be easy but its possible.

listen.. you do NOT deserve to have that body and you know it!!
i know you are going through a tough time but you need to be strong! show your friends what you've got! show them that you can do it! get a motivation or an ambition of why you want to lose your weight. how? ask your friends to support you! friends are the best way to be motivated. Family would work as well. think about how happy they will be if they saw your hot skinny body. and think about your future.. if you keep that body, it's gonna kill you. GOOD LUCK! AND MAY GOD BLESS YOUR EVERY STEP....=)

You're right to reach out and ask for help. I think the greatest way to succeed is to find a real person who will be there beside you...a personal trainer or a real friend who won't let you slide. Hire someone to be your motivation personified...to keep saying "you can do this" to be there to say, let's go to the gym, now! When you know you can't do it alone, there are people out there who can walk along side...find yourself one and submit to their help. Your life is depending on it!

Motivation for weight loss and fitness
One of the greatest difficult tasks is to motivate you for weight loss. After one month around, you start your enthusiasm in your weight loss and fitness program. I have learned few things that that has helped me to be motivating towards the fitness program and get my weight loss goal. I think these tips will also helps you as well to loose weight and keep motivated towards various weight loss and fitness programs.

* Once you have started your weight loss program, its a great idea to weigh yourself only once a week. If you keep on weigh everyday, you will only discourage yourself. If you weigh yourself only once a week, you will be able to analyses whether you need to make change to your existing routine or not.

* Keep a photo of a heavier version of yourself in plain view. This will keep be motivating how great you look after loosing weight than you were before loosing extra pounds. It will also prevent you from sliding back into old habits.

* Once you have achieved your weigh loss goals, and then imagine what you want yourself to look like. This will give you the motivation to keep the weight off.

* Keep setting higher and higher goals for you towards your fitness. If you do not set new goal for you and work to achieve them, then you will surely run in to our bed habit. As a result, you will not be able to keep the weight off. So it’s a great idea to keep on setting new goals and get in perfect shape. As you know it’s a really tough task to keep what you have achieved than what you are looking for.

These are some of ideas that keep me motivated towards my weight loss and fitness program. There may be many more reasons for you to motivate yourself to loose weight.
