And this helps us how? When more than half of American Citizens never bother to vote anyway? I am sure that was an awesome feat to pass a totally worthless law.

WASHINGTON — The House voted Wednesday to require Americans to show proof of citizenship in order to vote, and the Senate moved to build a 700-mile fence along the Mexican border as Republicans sharpened attacks on illegal immigration before the midterm elections.

The 228-196 House vote on a new photo ID plan and the Senate's consideration of the fence were both part of a get-tough policy on illegal immigrants that Republicans have embraced after Congress' failure to agree on broader legislation that would set a path for undocumented workers to attain citizenship

A fence is a good idea...but a minefield would be better.

they need to make the law not just a driver's license, but a birth certificate or green card as well. No making it easy, it should be just has hard to vote as it is to get a passport, although its pretty easy for me to get a passport, since I am an American citizen, born and raised here. And I do not associate with those goddamn illegals that should not be here. BTW, it is illegal to be a witness to a crime and not report it to the authorities, so, knowing that someone is here illegally and not reporting them is a CRIME. This issue is the only thing that I can agree with republicans on, stricter laws concerning the ones that are invading our country.

It's about time. I hope it will pass.

However, I think it only passed in the House of Reps. I bet the snakey Senate will try to kill it, claiming that poor people and elderly (those who are American citizens) don't have IDs.

As if they don't--hahha--they have to collect benefits like Soc Security, Medicare, food stamps. So that argument is weak.

But that's what the Pelosi's and Kennedys of the Senate will be (lying!) saying. Wait and see...listen to the lying liberals sticking up for the illegals, as always.

Who cares if we get to vote? Don't we still supposedly get free "health care", education, foodstamps, etc? As long as the government doesn't outlaw any of this then don't expect undocumented workers to feel let down.

The House passed it, it still has to pass the Senate. I hope it does though. Who are we kidding, here?

LOL - did you read what computer said? Sounds like something Hitler would do? Not let non-citizens vote? He breathed, too, so are you going to stop?

Did you also hear about Boeing getting an $80 million dollar contract for a high tech "virtual wall"?

The house has a much stricter plan for illegals. The Senate is a bunch of illegal loving, American hating idiots. Make sure to write, phone, and fax yours. Tell them what you think of their traitorous activities.
