Fish Oil , Oat Bran, & Oatmeal just to name a few things. If you eat eggs use the whites only. The yoke is where the cholestrol is in the egg. There are lots of other medications out there if you can't get it down on your own. Also you'll need to exercise as well as everything else. Good Luck! P.S. Try Wild Salmon (not farm raised) or fish oil capsules both are really good for reducing cholestrol.

Are you under any stress. Stress can bring cholestrol up. How high is your cholestrol? Walking is very good for you, try that. Eat everything in moderation and you should be fine.

You should reduce eating foods high in cholesterol like eggs (you can buy substitute eggs, they're good), red meat, butter, mayo, etc...You should also have a diet low in fat and high in fiber....oatmeal's a very good choice... you can get many products that you usually consume but choose the ones that are made with whole grains..you can get cereal, pasta, rice and even cookies...and you ahould talk to your doctor about other medicine options..there are other medicines that reduce cholesterol besides lipitor....Good luck..

Oatmeal has been specifically shown to lower cholesterol and you probably don't eat that now. Eating less helps too especially avoiding animal fats. Eat less red meat and more grains and you;ll see a difference.

First your should stop food with bad fat. there are 2 type of fats. one is unsaturated or monosaturated and second is saturated.
saturated food easily converted in to cholestrol as u eat.
So avoid- butter, hydrogenated fat(such in french fries, and ready to eat fried food), cheese and any type of animal fat and also chocolate
Start to eat food with good fat, that will also reduce cholestrol.
Start eat peanut it will very helpfull. use sunflower or soya oil for cooking.

My husband took fish oil pills. If you refrigerate them the taste isn't as bad and also eat something with them and watch the cholesterol high food go on a low cholesterol diet.

I lost 50 points in 2 months on my cholesterol by simply eating a bowl of oatmeal alternating with a bowl of cheerios (both with splenda) for breakfast, and eating normally!
