The pope said that the prophet Muhammad preached violence through islam. Naturally Muslims protested the popes words by being............VIOLENT!! Does the irony escape them? Did'nt they know that they should'nt protest violence with violence?

yes they shouldn't. but that's a natural people behavior. the Pope said these words in very sensitive time, where Iraq is being occupied, oil is being taking, Lebanon, Palastin and other issues. some people can't take pressure, and then he is calling muslims violent ignoring all the other issues. people don't just get angry for nothing. Jewish think of Jesus as a liar, but they don't go around announce it everywhere. if you don't believe in Islam, fine, just be happy with what you believe.

The radical Islamic sects are always looking for an excuse to stir up trouble. What I find amusing is to think that they were listening to the pope to begin with.

the only violence was in Palestine and Iraq and Afghanistan, consequently countries that are living in pain because of occupation, Riots happen throughout history, in fact if it wasn't for riots, you wouldn't be able to practice your religion freely,
Riots happen all the time, it a human thing... if the U.S. gov started to be totalitarian of course Americans would riot. If I was a muslim leader and I said exactly the same thing about Jesus (Pbuh), would u confidently say no christian will protest violently?
everyone has their own way of reacting. don't judge all muslims because of actions done by a certain groups of muslims.

I agree with Lakota Bob. But we can't judge them because we don't know how they were raised, taught, etc. It's a good thing God is our judge. He will put absolutely everything into account.
