i mean what is the special about photshop and emage ready?
what extra things that you can do?

photo shop is mainly for editing and creating images. Where as image ready allows you to animate the images and set them up for the web. Allot of these tools and abilities overlap but you may find some are easier in one program than the other. The one big difference is the ability to do layer based slices and rollovers in image ready. You also have a more comprehensive tool set for animation in image ready. Having said that you must also know that photo shop is way easier and more powerful for creating and editing the actually images.

Photoshop has a much broader range of abilities regarding photo manipulation. It is very limited when dealing with indexed color files which are used in gif animations. If you open and save a gif image with Photoshop, you will only get the top image, and the animation will be lost.
Image Ready can deal with gif animations. You can open, edit and save gif animations easily with Image Ready.

there are alot of differences between these two software by adobe.
one answer that i can get for this isssue is listed below. its a link. click it and u shall find a book opened in google serach.. u will have some content regarding the difference between the photoshop and imageready... got it. i think that u shall get the diffference.... ok and if u are not satisfied .. i prefer u to go for google book search.....ok... bye

Photoshop is for very high-level photo manipulation. You then use Imageready to optimize the photo for the internet.

in photoshop u can make only still images
and in image ready u can make animation pics like gif
oke
like layer by layer animation
