the school i have checked out said there wasnt much math involved does anyone know for sure

not a whole lot...you may have to do dosage calculations though

There is math in every day life. While there isn't much math involved in medical office assisting, the pay also doesn't "add up" too much either. My doc hired a medical office assistant from a "school" and she couldn't even figure out the scale. Thats before they had digital scales. Why don't you call a doctor's office and ask what the requirements are? They will tell you.
Some of these schools, I'm guessing it's something like a Sanford Brown, will let you graduate without really knowing how to do what you need to do. And that will just end in frustration for you. Math is and always been hard for me so I'm guessing that's why you asked this question.
