So Six Flags over Texas is doing a special deal this year during Fright Fest, if you eat a 3 inch Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, you get like a pass to go to the front of the lines, so I'm wondering, if I ate it, would it bite me as I'm eating it or would I get real sick afterward? if not I think I'll go for it.

If it were a German Cockroach, I'd pass, but since it's a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, enjoy the extra protein. Think of it as a supplement.

Don't worry about it biting you, it will be long dead before its mouth parts can harm you.

Just make sure you have something to drink just in case it doesn't taste like chicken.

A Madagascar Hissing Cockroach is not dangerous to eat. Think about all those episodes of Fear Factor where many of the contestants have had to eat them! In many wilderness manuals, it is mentioned that eating grubs and coackroaches are the best way to get protein and nutrition into one's body to avoid starvation if one is stranded.

Best of luck!

You are stranded in a desert. and just imagine that the cockroach is the only thing you could get to eat. What would you do?

If you can eat chicken, beef etc, you could as well eat Fried Cockroach.

Its a delicacy in Thailand

Unless you get sick from the ickiness of it I don't think it will make you physically ill. More than lickly they were bred in captivity and are cleaner than a cockroach you would find out in the street.

Besides, they do crap like that on fear factor all the time.

dear friend,
They are giving it to eat this itself shows that it is harmless.
see they can not play with anybodys life ,right? they are testing your guts.

it will not make any harm. OK?
Its your attitude as what you think of it.
stay calm and just ignore of what you are eating while in contest.
divert your mind .focus on only one point that you are there to WIN and nothing else.
enter the contest to win. let what may happen.
then only you will overcome any fear thereof.
Believe me it works ,the power of spoken words . use it
say always " Yes I am going to WIN"
program your mind so it orders your physical body to follow the instructions. Power of the mind is the greatest thing.
use it.

Let me know when you enter the fear factor contest.
I will suggest little more.
Best wishes to U.
have wonderful future.
keep smiling towards challenge.
Raj.

Just be sure you crunch down on the head first. Then it can't bite you. As far as it making you sick, they couldn't make such an offer if it would. Then there's the gag reflex. It would sure gag me. But that's different from actual nausea.

Does Texas have "Palmetto Bugs"?

Have you ever "squished" a Palmetto bug?

After you squish one they give off that "sickly sweet" smell......!!!!!!!!!!

I'll bet the Madagascar Roach tastes just like that smell!!!!!

Would you really want that in your mouth, just to save a small amount of time or money?

Not a good idea. They are like bottom feeders in the ocean. They eat all the decaying and gross things. And they can carry germs.
