Both religions have it's good and bad people, It is unfair to generalize, but the problem is that these days all people can see is bad Muslims, although they are even less than 1% of the one billion Muslims around the world,
Christians had and still have their share of doing horrible things but it does not make me say that all Christians are bad people.
Being a Muslim these days is considered a crime, but the world does not know the good and peaceful Muslims and how great Islam is cause this is what the media wants to tell them.

Christianity began nearly 1,700 years ago when the Romans sat with Constantine to create their book of laws. Their powerful armies conquered all, forcing every culture to accept their 'Bible' or perish.
The Muslims did not buy into it. The old testament claims that the Jews stole the inheritance from the son who was outcast and later became the first of the Muslims. 1,700 years of propaganda flooded Europe. Ignorance prevailed among the peasants making them susceptible to believe what they were told to believe.
Old habits die hard among cultures that are told to honor their parents. Throw in the word 'righteous' and none will argue. Threaten them with hellfire and they eagerly submit. When one becomes 'self righteous' , as most Christians are, it becomes easy to condemn others.
Note that the Muslims do not go door to door around the world trying to force their beliefs on all others as the Christians do. But then, they don't get the tax shelters that the Christians do either.

Because one is expected to mature after... mmm what 500 years! Honestly, many muslims do seem to act like rabid animals. The West has matured ... we act like rabid animals...then give a good speech on TV about it.
Read the Koran it's not a bad book. Too bad no one in Iran, syria, or al-queda seems to have read it. But it's ok.... I really doubt George Bush has read the Bible either.
So the answer? Muslims are sick and so are we.

You said it exactly right. Christians did it, yes, but it was during the Dark Ages. Mankind has evolved since then and we know better than that now. If you are trying to compare the two then you are saying that the Muslim religion is still in the evolutionary state of being in the Dark Ages, which I would tend to agree with you. Well said!

We only look at their souls that are sick, not them personally. A soul without Christ is a sick and lost soul. We don`t think we are better than other people as most think. I hate it that most non believers always think that we think we are better than everyone else, if anything, we have been humbled, and our pride casts aside, God hates prideful people. Out of all the religions, Jesus is the only one who`s body was never found. Christianity is not a religion, religion is man made, Christianity is God made, we are not religious. Anyone who says Christians are religious is only out of ignorance to understanding our faith. God Bless. In all you get, get understanding.

I think that is a sweeping generalization. I don't think all christians look at all muslims and think that, nor do I think do all muslims share extreme views. For those who do, it is because it is easy to forget early history and it is certainly easy to pass a judgement that makes one appear morally superior. That doesn't apply to just religion either - it's human nature to seek out others that we view as worse than ourselves so that we can feel better about ourselves. It is a harder path to look beyond and find good in others too.

just a thought. may be cause they learned and see it all happening again under a new guise. So do we persecute the Christians for trying to prevent this monster from getting loosed?

when you say Christians, you are really referring to the hypocrites who once called themselves by the name of Christ but we all see were NOT Christian. People sometimes forget what Christ stood for and call UNCHRISTIAN people by the blessed name of Christ (Christian)

Please, I hope you understand that the crusades and the inquisition and the Holy Roman Empire and all the Evil sects and groups of Posers were NOT Christian in the sence of what Christ taught. I can back it all up with countless passages if you contact me, but dont feel I have to here.

Christ is Love and Light and in Him is O darkness at all. Please try to understand this.

From the depths of my soul,
Brother Lazarus

Read my page and see what I base my POV on. I've studied this intently.

After thought...The same generalization is also being applied to muslims. There ARE PEACEFUL MUSLIMS.

This whole upheaval is a distraction to shift the focus of what is really going on anyway. Its NOT any religion that has a problem. It IS US. we're so busy feeding in to this bull corn that we're not seeing the vigger picture and NOT doing the research to even try to see what is REALLY going on here. And when the entire WORLD is enslaved, as it almost is...(what better way to enslave a people that to make them believe they are free) it'll be to late and you'll still be blaming ALL the wrong people and organizations. PLEASE WAKE UP! Our children are depending on us to see what is going on and do something about it.....please transcend the paradigm. You've been so conditioned...its not all your fault its all part of the plan please see what is really going on and get involved...Educate yourself with the otherside of the story.

Because Christians will justify the barbarism and atrocities they committed (past and present) in the name of God. Because Christians, whether they like it or not, have a superiority complex and "know" that they have "direct communication" with God.

It isn't just Roman Catholics.

The Natives Americans were almost exterminated by the Christian pioneers and their generations.

The Salem witch hunts was the cause of senseless murders of people whose only crime was knowledge of herbal medicine, owning a black cat, or simply had mental disorders.

White protestants formed the Ku Klux Klan.

The slave trade utilized the Protestant and Baptist ministers to instill fear into the hearts of beaten and raped Negroes.

The Serbs and Croats (who were predominantly Christians) raped and murdered Muslims during the Balkan conflict.

All Christian sects have their large share of skeletons in their closet.

If only they owed up and apologized first for the past crimes of their forefathers, then maybe they could have set a positive example. So far, the only example I'm seeing is hypocrisy.

Christians tell Muslims like me that we're lying about not condoning terror acts and that's suppose to be ok. But Muslims tell Christians to be honest about the bloody Christian past, it's not ok.

Double-standard Christian morality.

Thank you very F#CK!NG much.

Yeah, I know most of the Christians in this world are decent, God-fearing people. They just won't accept the reality of which races and religions paid the ultimate price just so Chrisitanity could become top dog. Jews and Muslims paid with their blood and lives in the Crusades, Muslims paid again in Bosnia.

And to think that a Muslim was part of the Special Ops team who captured Saddam Hussein so democracy could be restored in Iraq. Thanks so much for your heart-felt gratitude.

The Catholics did it!!!! That is why we have Protestants now, to avoid all that nonsense. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Men did those horrible things, to abuse their political power in the "name of the Church", it had nothing to do with God, it was the institution they were promoting. The Pope apologized for that nonsense.

I think it obvious that it is the religion that is not the issue here, it's the people. It would seem that in both situations ( i.e. the crusades and the holy war today) are for economic and political motives.
