I had an eye exam a few months ago for contact lenses & the doctor gave me the prescription, [so I'd be able to order more] but my last pair of contacts ripped & now I can't find the prescription. If I called my eye doctor tomorrow, would they be able to give me my prescription over the phone, or would I have to walk-in to get it?

Call them and ask them to fax or e-mail it to the place you are buying your lenses at. They will.

I think that if you called they could tell you what your prescription is. They should have it in your file/chart. Good luck! I just ripped my stupid contact this morning and had to run around like a crazy person finding my other ones! I hate that!

Usually you can, it depends on HIPPA, it is a government regulation to protect your privacy. Best to call and talk to the receptionist and verify your id. Then getting a replacement Rx shouldn't be a problem

You will need to get it in person. The prescription has to include the optometrists signature to be valid.

Call him and find out! That's the only solution to the answer!

You will probably have to go in. If you need to order more , why not just call where you ordered from before. They will also have your script.

Bleighve, I put my mom in a nursing home last week. It was a hard decision, but I had to do it.
