You need to calm down and read the bible its all the facts any one ever will need.
There are no books written three thosands years ago on evolution, only God.
You have your own personaly opinion as I have mine. Questions don't go downhill, your and other people standerds go up hill.
Every one is brainwashed.
Every teaching that you will ever receving is brain washing you. You can also be un wantingly brainwashed as a child, and that does happen alot.
God is not love, He hated many people in the old testment.
He commanded for women to be rapped.
That does not mean God does not love his creation.
It means that man got away with making up lies.
I suggest you take a look at harder evidence then just the bible, because you are blind to the truth just as every one else is.
No one is a chirs-tian.
Who is serving CHIRS!!!
The word is CHRIST_IAN!

Spirituality and religion are two completely separate issues.
I think that losers are amongst the group of all humankind, regardless of choosing or not choosing to belong to a religion.
LOVE is the the answer...I agree with you 100%. I am not part of any religious organization, but I am willing to listen, read and learn from those who have chosen religion. I prefer to try to learn and consider the options available to me. I know that I have "free will" to decide to join or not join any religion....but I attempt to treat others with respect.
Our Creator has a plan and a path for everyone....each path is a different path. Love is above and beyond all the words that are spoken.....GOD IS LOVE! We will all make it home!

A.) Prepare for the religious idiots here to not adhere to your wishes and comment anyway. (although you could have been a little more tolerant yourself.)
B.) The answer would be tradition, the wanting of answers, and the mass popularity of religion in society. Tradition apparently hasn't died, despite the evidence against many of the practices, people want answers and religion is the simplest way to get them, and religion is so popular that many people feel it must be worth getting involved in. Not to mention people who aren't religious are often discriminated against in American society, for some of the most illogical reasons ever heard of, and therefore many feel forced to find a religion. Oh, and how could I forget, stupidity. Take a look outside - chances are 9 out of 10 people you see are morons.

You should just state what religion you are directly speaking to rather than just ASSUME that all religions believe these things.
My religion is based upon experience, not faith. It is made clear over and over again in the sacred texts (of which there are thousands and more are still being written today) that we should always try the practices for ourselves and see if we discover the same results and if we do, then keep goings, if not then move on to something else.
I wouldn't consider myself brainwashed. I haven't accepted my birth religion. My parents never forced religion upon me (in fact they're two different religions themselves). I have studied a lot of religions and came to my own conclusions regarding the religion I have chosen to practice.
Heaven is not the goal of my religion. Heaven is said to be merely a temporary state of existence produced by our consciousness between incarnations. Why set a temporary place produced within the realms of our own consciousness as the goal? One can get to a heavenly state of awareness/existence, but it is not dependent on one's beliefs. Nor is one religion limited to the ability of allowing a person to discover the universal truths of the innate nature of the inner Self. All religions, if you study them deep enough, teach practices and yet some people who have no religion have also discovered these as well. Religion is merely a tool, nothing more.
Messiah? Annointed One? Savior? Again not related to my religion. That implies that God is somehow seperated from the Universe. Hinduism teaches that God is the Universe and the Universe is God and God is also beyond the Universe as unmanifested consciousness (Brahman....literally is Sanskrit Brah Manah and translates as "Expanding Consciousness" or "Growing Consciousness"). To say that one needs someone else in order to get back to the original state of existence (consciousness) is absurd since all things in the universe are merely reflections of Brahman.
Return back to our Creator? Creator implies that something seperate was created. Hinduism does not teach that we are seperate from Brahman, but that the atman (soul) merged out of Brahman.
All religions are merely different perspectives on Brahman (or as usually translated into English: God). Just as we have different views, opinions, and perspectives on other things the same is true on the subject of "God" and how it is defined, experienced, etc.
But that's my own humble opinion and everyone is entitled to their own as well. That said, I don't think we should be so harsh on religion. It's just a tool. And as folksinger Ani DiFranco has said "Every tool is a weapon if you hold it right." We shouldn't blame the tool for it's misuse, but instead those who misuse it.

Ignorance will bite you in the butt every time. You didn't learn to read and write without studying. How can you understand God unless you read the instruction Book. The word religion only means "remembering" . Study the Bible from a nondenominational prospective. Its man who screws up the plan not God.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Jn 3:16
It's pretty clear. No brainwashing needed. Accept or reject, it's your choice.

Due to the angry and sillyness of this question I refuse to answer this!!!! Also I pray that one day God becomes will in your life and that he has mercy on your soul. Matthew 12:31 (King James Version)
31Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

What are you so angry about?
It's Okay for people to have different beliefs, what makes yours so much better than the guy next to you?
If you really believed in Gods love would you be ridiculing others for the way they believe or calling them losers for following something that is important to them? When were you granted the authority to judge others?

First of all we are all entiltled to whatever beliefs we want to believe in; just as you are entitled not to believe. That's all fine and dandy.
However hatred is not right no matter who you are. Because of what you are saying I can compare you to Bin Lauden. He hated the U.S. and showed it; much the same as you are doing now. It took him years to act; however eventually he did.
Not believing is o.k.; however hating other because they do is just plain wrong.
