I've never really thought about it...but......
I would not doubt it. why? Most black men work harder physically. the ones I know do. They keep in good shape. They actually mow their own yard instead of a little white boy. yeah..no kidding. hahahahaa
A black friend of mine is 66. I assure you, he can keep up with a 40 year old any-day. I have worked with him for years. hahahaha
good Q*.
.
BTW: He knows how too eat ;)

I being a white male, would have to say, Yes.
In my lifetime of observation, I've been surprised many a time when an older (older than I) black woman or man has confided there age with me. I can't remember the last time I learned of a black person's age, and thought to myself, "That's about what I figured!" They always look younger than their age.
Hope I can hold out as long as several of my older black friends who look great. My fair skin takes a beating in the first part of Summer every year and that doesn't help one bit with the aging process.
Some people just age better than others, it's all in the genes I guess.
Take care

Skin pigment in blacks blocks UV rays better than that of whites, and skin does not wrinkle as quickly either. High blood pressure and cholesterol are separate issues.
African American diets contribute significantly to high blood pressure and cholesterol problems, more so than their genetics.

A lot of the black people I've known have had health problems as they aged. On the upside, I do think black tend to LOOK better as they get older.
That's not a bad thing.

Define "better". They tend to have a lot more health problems, but when it comes to appearance, I think they tend to stay young looking for a longer period than some other races.

Many reasons, but because of their better, more resilient skin with it's abundance of melanin, those that are a bit darker hardly wrinkle even after being exposed to the sun for many years. The less noticeable but better resiliency they posses resides not on the visible outside but in the inside . Know what it is? it's their heart and soul. I'm not black but have black and part African-American family members as well as friends , so don't think I'm being conceited. I love African-American's and their exceptional culture and talents except for their athleticism, just kidding.

Statistically they do not live, on the average as long as some other races. It could be due to cultural factors, economics, diet, access to healthcare, lifestyle, or genetics.
Actually, I think Asians age better than any of us. In fact, they live the longest too, on average.

Dark complected people have more melanin and are protected from damaging rays of the sun. The only race there is is the human race.Skin color is a function of enviorment. Light skin is needed in northern areas because less sun is available to them.

btw...look at janet jackson....you think that as a white woman I am gonna look that good when I am her age??? or Oprah...Holy Cow!!!! I know I won't look like that when I am 50!!!! God has just blessed them with long lasting beauty. Makes me sick! LOL
