It certainlyh is. I read in Sunshine Limited that there is
a direct link between knowing something is fattening
and actually getting fat. I think there was some group
of really famous doctors that made a study somewhere
about that. And, they proved that it was true. I recall that
they said something like 95 % of the cases they studied
came up positive for getting fat.

If I were you, I wouldn't think about it based upon those
studies, and those famous guys in the magazine. It seems to me that Sports Illustrated had some Bathing Suit article a while back also. You might want to check on that.

How could thinking about the calories have any more or less of an effect. The answer is NO.

in my experience, when i counted calories i binged more often because i knew i could 'afford' a few more calories in my day and usually ended up over my daily recommendation. when i eat what i like - but know in my head that i am probably around how much i wanted to eat then i don't want to eat more because i'm just unsure. this is probably just me, but i prefer letting my stomach make it's mind up. my head messes it up for me. i just eat healthy so there less chance i'll eat too much

Only if you have telekinitic powers that allow you to move the food into your body without actually touching it. Otherwise, not a chance....
