In America?
E. engaged but seperate

Why did I choose this answer?
Culture will always have elements of religion in it because people practice some form of religion and it carries with them. Whether it is Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, or some other religion the people carry that with them and culture can't ignore religion. Yet at the same time it should still be seperate from the overall culture. Why? Because in America there are A LOT of different religions being practiced and for the culture to embrace just one view would hinder religious liberty. So while individuals in the culture will embrace religion, the overall culture (that culture influenced by government) should remain seperated so as to protect religious liberty and show respect and dignity to all religious beliefs in America.

When religion becomes the culture religion ceases to transform anything and ends up dying a death of irrelevance, or becoming a system of control and oppression for the rulers. Note how frequently churches fracture and split as they progress from "voice crying in the wilderness" to "temple court complete with pigeon salesmen" and from "prayer meetings on Saturday night" to "Sunday morning speeches from politicians and lobbyists." Once the church leaves behind the wilderness experience and becomes the etablishment it becomes the problem and not the solution.

colture influences religion.

if you live off the land, and depend on it for everything that you need to live, you are very likely to worship an earth or forest god of some sort.

if you live on the land and take from it everything that you want, you are more likely to worship an all powerful monotheistic god.
