Love is sufficient onto Love. When we Love, we give without counting the cost to ourselves, only looking to the benefit for the one we Love, the one who receives.
When our joy depends upon being of benefit to others, those we love, everyone, then we attain perfect Love.
And Love is not just about giving, it is also about being willing to receive. There can be no giving if there is no one who will receive. When we are willing to receive, we give others the opportunity to give to us. We give them the opportunity to know the joy of giving freely, as we accept freely.
Perfect Love is a harmony of freely giving and freely receiving.

We have no concept of perfection. We can't define it, we can't find it, we can't create it.
Oh sure, Gods love is perfect blah, blah, blah.
What does that mean?
That's a great notion and it works well when you are teaching a first grade Sunday school class. How does a person find perfect love? I suppose an argument could be made that a mothers love for her child is perfect. A dead baby in a garbage can shoots a big hole in that one though.
We lost the concept of perfection when Eve ate the apple. However, that argument works only so long as you believe that the Bible is the "perfect" word of God.

Dear fellow-schizophrenic-alternate-personali... "Cinn": About the concept of "Fear" in that personality, I am not qualified to say. But I know without a doubt that there are two subjects that you have no idea about, and would show your foolishness by presuming to: The Bible, and "Perfect Love". I, for instance, know enough about Love through personal experience to unequivvelately state that there is no such thing as "Perfect" Love; you know nothing of "Love" at all, perfect or otherwise. Cinn, since you seek to play "My cock is bigger than yours" with me, then say what this is really all about: You have a Dead-Beat Dad, the "father" of the latest of 3 children, illegally living in your home without contributing a cent or doing a lick of housework. During the 6 days I spent staying with you, I had no time to "stalk" you, or "romance" you, other than buying you those expensive-assed Carlton smokes HE won't buy you; I was too damned busy cleaning house, doing dishes, repairing the house, garage, and the van you wrecked twice this month alone to do anything except work like a madman to help you, while HE jacked-off 23 hours a day playing on the computers. The rest of the time he spends asleep, or eating the Food Stamps for you & the Kids when he refuses to pay a CENT of Child Support to you for the support of his own kid that he claims to love. I, on the other hand, pay every $ & Food Stamp I can afford, and a lot I can't, over the past year. THAT is what this is really all about. I defy you as a true Christian to lie and say what I said is NOT true. This goes WAY beyond my mere jealousy; this Food Stamp situation is illegal and abhorrent to me or any other REAL Man, on this forum, or in real life, throughout the world. What really bothers me is that you are so busy posting these sanctomonious Hate-Messages to ME, you condone, allow, and SUPPORT this Cretin, regardless of the Kids welfare. No matter... It ends Today, or Tomorrow, however long it takes the System you are breaking the laws of to do something about the influx of mockery, etcetera they are receiving. I don't get the "Last Laugh", though. This is not in the least funny, not even to me, and watching you lose it all because of some Deadbeat isn't amusing, either. You know this; I loved you more than anyone since my wife, but that, like Yesterday, is in the Past. One final note, per this, "But I am no longer afraid. I have found the strength to deal with this and it is such a relief! Cinn =) ", please spare me the Drama! I SWEAR ON MY WIFE SHEREE'S SOUL THAT I WILL NEVER PHYSICALLY OR ILLEGALLY HARM YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN. That IS, as you know, my most "Holy" Oath. Anything I do will be within the full boundaries of the Law, you may be assured of that. Unlike your Fiancee/Deadbeat Dad, I am now "Legit", have no warrants for Fraud nor anything else, and I intend to remain that way, as I have since 2004. No, my Ex-Love, your fate is in the hands of Texas, the Government, and God.

God is perfect, Jesus was perfect even when He walked in the flesh.
I believe as Christians we can all obtain perfection through Jesus Christ. we have been given the ability by the Holy Spirit. Why do you think Jesus said, "Go, sin no more?" The problem is that nowadays people have a hard time keeping focus on the Lord and that's what's needed. A life fully committed to Him, and nothing else.

Hi,
There you go. This means we need to "conquer our fears (and I assure you you'll conquer death"). For those who think they are there, think again. You are not there untill you are free of fear.. Keep trying..Oh how to attain. Seriously try and uderstand the bible. No one is gonna tell you, because few know.. Just because there are those who do not understand what is writgten, does not make the word untru. meditate, pray for wisdom, follow Jesus, do what He did. Get rid off the ego-mind.. Light up your mind..
Oh [erfect that is called heaven or paradise regained, where regain (Christ) consciousness, Oneness with God.

Perfect love is Christ-like love. It is love that has no trace of ego or self-serving in it. It is love that is completely self-less and giving.
One attains perfect love by having Christ dwelling in one's heart, and in order for this to happen, one has to be purified of the sins and the passions, one has to be illumined by the light of the knowledge of God (blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God), and one has to be deified through the communion of the Holy Spirit ("I said ye are gods", and "God shall stand out among gods"). This is the aim of a lifetime.
As for how anything can be perfect, "what is impossible for man is possible with God."

To fully understand the quote, read the rest:
"There is no fear in love, for perfect love casts out all fear. Fear has to do with the possibility of punishment."
It is about God loving us, and us loving God in return. We learn love from God. When we walk in God's love, we have nothing to fear from Him.

The one who has perfect love is Jesus. The Prince of Peace. He loves you. He places in us a spirit of love power and a sound mind. Enter into a relationship with Him and He will give you His peace. We certainly cannot be perfect but He is. His perfect love is a free gift offerred to you. He will release you from bondage to fear.
8There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19We love because he first loved us. 20If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.

Hmm I'm guessing the Bible meant the love chapter in Corinthians.
Love is:
not easily angered
not jealous
not envious
does not lie
is always honest
is always humble
always wanting the best in someone
is faithful
always perseveres...
