when I was in jr high, i had a boyfriend that was in a gang too. I was a cheerleader. Total opposites but we were together for 3 years, it can work out to be a good experience. Opposites do attract. Just be careful because I was shot at etc... gangs are dangerous and today, he's in jail.

Yes, I think it's true that opposites attract. If he's really nice to you, and makes you feel comfortable, hang on to him! Too bad he's in a gang, though. You really don't need to get mixed up with that kind of nonsense. Maybe you can encourage him to develop his own world without a gang.

In reality, the phrase "opposites attract" is true only about 50% of the time. Whether one chooses a mate that is alike or different from oneself, depends on how much he or she likes him or herself. If you like yourself a lot, you will look for someone like you. If you dont like yourself, you will look for qualities that you lack and that you admire in another person. Have you ever been really annoyed by someone's traits, and then realized that you have those same traits, and the phrase "it takes one to know one" became true? Thats why opposites usually attract. but I must say, I think he is probably trying to get some. And why would you want to date someone in a gang? Dont you think that people should be constructive rather than destructive? And why would you date someone who takes pride and joy in ruining other peoples lives and things?

Ok, no one else seems to acknowledge this so I guess I will. STAY AWAY from a gang member!! It doesn't matter how sweet and comfortable you two are together, if he is really in a gang and gets into trouble, don't give him the time of day. Run and run fast.

Well first if he is in a gang you should not want to be connected with him. You just being with him could bring some sort of harm to you. Gangs do not care who they hurt....So for your own safety start going out with someone else of your own character. Your lives are much too different and I feel it would not work out for you.
Put your safety and your families safety first. Date the right right people not those in gangs, ok.

oppsoites attract. My boyfriend and I are complete opposites too and I think that subconsciously you look for someone that has certain qualities that you can't have but would like to or really admire. It's pretty interesting how you admire that person so much because he/she has the qualities you somewhat desire. You look for the other half to complete a perfect someone.
