Most start loosing at least a little in their 20s. The hair may be receeding, developing a bald spot in the back, or just thinning. In most cases this is small and barely noticeable, giving the individual the appearance of becoming an adult.
While some never appreciably loose much, some start as early as their mid teens. It varies from person to person, depending on genetics and enviromental factors (food, stress, shampoo, water, illness, etc.)
In my case it was noticeable when I was 15, with a receeding hairline. It does have its benefits. As I noted above, a receeding hairline is associated with older age. People assumed I was older than I was. Even when they realized I wasn't that old, they treated me as if I was more mature out of instinct. This opened up a lot of doors on all fronts for me.

There is no certain age at which hair loss can begin. Male hairloss is determined by a gene passed on from a mother to a son. As we know, we do not all the have the same mother, therefore, hairloss varies. Some factors can speed up hair loss, such as diet and wearing a cap. But, even children with the same mother may not experience hair loss at the same time. That is due to the fact that we all get variations of the same genes from our parents. There are no carbon copies.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://tinyurl.im/aH7PX While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

Id say generally 25 to 30 is the 'average' age.
It can definitely start in the teens but this isnt common.
It IS hereditary - so check out your dad/grandad and maybe ask them when they started losing theirs?

I don't know about losing hair but my xbf had/has a receiting hairline, it was pretty bad when I dated him, I saw him last week after a year and it was even worse. I think its hereditary, ask your dad/mom/grandparents about it.
