1. Not anytime soon. 2. Most certainly. 15,000+. 3. Not one iota, no matter who wins in the next elections. Sooner if Dems win but not very and no war with Iran. Add Iran and the rest of the mid-east if the Republicans win and expect to see bloodshed across our country. Terrorists are not coming, they are here and have been here, waiting. They don't care who is in power either.

If the war continues to the end of Bush's term there still will be no democracy in Iraq. In fact by that time, there may be no democracy left in the U.S.
Yes, thousands more Americans will die there, but Halliburton and the Oil Companies will make billions.
And terrorism will continue to be affected by the war on terrorism by recruiting more terrorists as resentment toward our invasion grows.
The world will not be safe again until the American people get rid of the fascist dictatorship that disrespects elections and steals votes and starts wars for profit, tortures prisoners of war and places American citizens under secret government surveillance.

The "war" in Iraq ended when George W. Bush flew onto that battleship with the "Mission Accomplished" sign in the background! From that point on, it has been an "occupation", something Bush promised he'd never do! Right now it's all about saving face and keeping the oil supply running, while our men and women die without ever seeing their families again! The hatred in that region for the U.S. is growing exponentially with the passage of every day, and STILL Bush does what he's good at: NOTHING!! Who really knows how this all will end? It has the potential of being man's final conflict, and STILL Bush lets people die!!! I have SO HAD IT WITH THAT MAN!! The only way we can get people's respect now is to have a prisoner exchange: we give the entire Bush administration to Iraq, and they get all their people back from Gitmo!!! And I couldn't be more serious!!!

I see no end to the current civil war or attacks on american troops unless there is a major policy change including an end to the occupation. It is supposed to be a republic right now (not a democracy) . Did you already forget the elections?
It should be split into three states with a weak central government. That will stop most of the sectarian violence -- but Bagdad would be the big problem under that scenario -- for a intellegent analysis of the situation see link.

When Bush is finally removed or voted out of office. I don't believe Iraq will ever have democracy, their issues are religion, not politics. Yes, unfortunately many more Americans will die unnecessarily. No, Terrorism will always be alive and well, they won't go away. We will always be their primary target, because we are the "Infidels" until America converts to Muslim, and give up our religious freedom and Christian values, they will not leave us alone.

We will be in Iraq until we are attacked by another country on our own soil. At that time, our leaders won't be able to justify our military being away from the homeland.

Well lets see. If I knew that I would be working in Washington. I just hope that we don't leave their country the way it is now. Yes it's a mess, but we can clean it up and we owe it to the Iraqi people to get them on their feet.
