DEFINITELY THE TI 89. The TI 83/84 calcs are only for high school math, the TI 89 is way more suitable for calculus.
You can compare their functions at http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/nonProductSingle/graphing_course_comparision.html , and read about the features of the TI 89 in depth at http://education.ti.com/educationportal/sites/US/productDetail/us_ti89ti.html .

Hope I've helped! =)

Calc three has a lot of partial derivatives and 3d functions. Don't know about the HP, but I think the 89 would be your best bet. The 83 is good, but won't do your work for you in Calc 3

I have a TI 84 and I know that you can program some formulas, but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I either have them all written down or memorized.

You really shouldn't need a calculator for calc 3.

Ask your teacher. They tend to know exactly what you'll need for the course.
