I personally am just like you.. and I am 27 as well... When your with him, do you think of his age? Can you forget about his age? Do you feel the age difference like treated like a child or anything like that? Thats what I have looked at and what I have baced things on.

A few years ago I was 28 and I started dating an older man. I wasn't sure of his age for the first 2 months of our relationship. And when I found out, I was a little upset. He was 45. I don't think that I would have started dating him if I had known that in the beginning. But I accepted it and we had a great time for about a year. We split up, but not because of the age difference. And we're still pretty good friends now. Take a chance.....you never know.....he may be the ONE!!
Good Luck

I know you said ladies, but I have to get in on this one. I'm 34 and my gf is 51. In case you're counting that's 17 yrs between us. The only thing I see when I look at her is the woman I love that loves me right back. We treat each other with the utmost respect and never fight about anything. If we disagree about something we will just sit and talk to each other about it until it's resolved. No matter what the outcome. We've even put off our relationship for a day or two, sometimes even a couple of weeks just because we couldn't agree on a point. The ONLY thing that matters in a relationship is mutual respect for each other and their feelings. People just shouldn't hurt their own kind in any way. Spread the love.

Well let me answer you this way......I'm dating someone 30 yrs older than me and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. He treats me like a pricess and I've never been with someone as great as him. At first the age thing got to me, but after a week I didn't even think about it....when I wake up and when I fall asleep all I see is the man that I love...I don't see an age, I don't see a number just a wonderful person.

Yes, I would. I know this is so cliché, and you have probably heard of it at least a million times, but age really is just a number. It's the mental maturity that matters. You two are both mature adults, and if you have feelings for each other, then why should age be a factor?

I am 39 and my girlfriend is 30. Our relationship is great and the age difference is of no concern to us. We love and do the same things as each other as well as future goals. Don't let age be a factor for your feelings...:)

I agree with witchtwo, you need to get over the age thing. It is only a number at this point in your life. It doesn't mean a thing now that you are in your twenties. Give the guy a fighting chance it will be worth your while I promise.

In your case, age is not so much an issue; now if you were 17, that would be an issue---he is probably just as mature as you are; anyway what does it matter what the Yahoo users think---?.

it dosent matter about the age really.
it just matters if you lovee him and if hes good to you.

not like saying a 4 year old can go out with a 40 year old
