Very weird question, but what do you do with a plunger after using it? Do you wash it out with a hose outside or something? It has to be a bad thing to keep it in the house...I have no idea....

Wash it off in a tub nearby, if you can. If you just leave it water can get stuck on the inside and turn it moldy. Plungers are also cheap. If you like you can throw it out and buy a new one. That's just not very economial. Yes it's a bit groady, but at least you're saving hundreds in plumbing bills. =)

Clean it in the toilet. Just put some cleaner (or bleach) in the bowl and clean the plunger.

Flush. Put the plunger and let the bacteria-free water drip on the floor.

I always rinse it in the tub. It is right next to the toilet. Then after rinsing it in really hot water and bleach, I wait for it to dry and I put it back. Then I clean the tub really good. Can never be too careful!

Just disinfect it and keep it anywhere that is convenient. It doesn't do any harm in the house but it is a bit unsightly. If this is a frequent problem keep it in or near the bathroom. If not your garage but remember where you put it in case you need it again.

I flush the toilet again and get any debris off it. Then I put it in the most remote corner of the bathroom.
