you need to stop being such a pantywaist and take matters into your own hands.
put a move on her like Ash did in the movie "Army of Darkness". he grabbed his girl, pulled her roughly towards him, leaned over and said "Gimme some sugar, baby". then he planted a big kiss on her!
that's what you need to do---just reach over, grab her, pull her towards you, say "Gimme some sugar, baby" and then plant a big one on her lips! she'll either scream and slap you or she'll indeed give you some sugar. either way, you're gonna know how she really feels about you.

I think that a good night kiss should come before a movie kiss, which you could progress to on the next date, if you get a next date. Aside from that, you just have to use your sense and go by how well the evening has been going, ect.
Really, I would not do it on a first date - that would be tacky in my opinion.

Whisper something in her ear and just lean over and kiss her on the cheeks and see if she responds with a smile then wait few more minutes and lean over and see if she turns her head if she does then she wants a kiss on the lips.

Either ask her or just try to kiss her and when the time is right or will know. I would go for asking though bc she will think that is so thoughtful of you.

coming from a girls point of view ...you don't know when is the best time,,it comes naturally !! and it doesn't have to be at movies....but if this helps...move slowly towards her face and smack one on her ...she's probably waiting for that special kiss,,,

first time kiss is always nice on the top of my head or forehead. & ask her if you can kiss her. it shows her respect.
