This isn't a religious question, it's a political question.

I've been letting Congress and the president know how I feel about this war, but I've also been praying for the people of Iraq, and praying for Christians in this country to make their faith more than just words.

Not everyone agrees on that, including Christians. I however know that we needed to get Saddam out of control. Because what if we hadn't invaded? Iraq would be working with Iran to develop more chemical and biological weapons, and slowing but surely end up with nuclear weapons.

Now thousands of Iraqis are free because Saddam is no longer the dictator who was routinely killing and torturing his people. Also there are girls in school now, a lot of electricity and phone lines all over Iraq, more sanitized water, more hospitals, more police, and of course most importantly more FREEDOM.

It is also a part of Biblical prophesy.

I agree it is a necessary evil at this point. Leaving would make things works. But I did not support Bush, nor the invasion of Iraq. It was completely unjustified.

People call it an occupation, but what would the alternative be? Should we just leave before everything is calm and allow another Saddam to come to power?

Some do and some don't. Christians are not a homogeneous unit.

God is in control, nothing happens in this world happens without his consent, we are to respect our leaders, God put them in control. I trust God, everything works out towards His own good.

Absolutely not.
Christians are history's garbage cans and punching bags. Violence is NEVER Christian, regardless of what George W. Bush or anyone else says.
LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and LOVE YOUR ENEMIES means DON'T USE VIOLENCE.

As a Christian I agree with fighting against the enemy and being obedient to authority as long as the authority is not against God. It's really that simple.
