If I apply for one online and I am approved, how long does it take before the card is in my hand and I can use it?

Also, if my credit score is 700 (which it is)... what kind of APR can I expect to be approved for?

It's taken me about 10 to 14 days.

Also, you have a very good credit/fico score. You should be able to get the best rate offered by the credit card company you applied to. I would read all of the fine print with a magnifiying glass. Credit card companies charge the most APR of any "lending entity" out there.

Depends on the company but generally 10 working days will be pretty close. As for APR, you should have received a disclosure page when you applied online listing the interest rates.

You should get your card within a week, 2 at the most. If you pay off your purchases every month and don't send payments late your APR should be low. I don't know what it is like when you are just starting.

Don't be too eager in aquiring a new credit card. Remember, borrowing money Temporarily raises your quality of life; however, it Permanently lowers your Standard of Living! If you can save it first...you will be far better off. You might pay up to 2X the cost of whatever you are purchasing with your new credit card. Hey, if I knew you wanted to do that, I'd lend you the money now! Just remember also...you WILL pay it all back...and then some! Sorry to rain on your parade...just make sure you think about it first.

Why would you want credit card. They are the death of most of the population in America. Save your money and buy with cash. Best advice is to get a debit card on your checking account.
