Some people are very irresponsible. Next time, and every time thereafter that she comes to visit, meet her at the door with your face covered with a towel. Ask her if she is sick. If she says yes, just tell her you aren't feeling up to company. If she says no, invite her in! I hope this helps.

Sometimes people are naive and do not realize the severity of the situation. I would put up a reminder sign on the outside door, I have seen a note or two like this before. If they cannot respect your situation, kindly ask them to leave. You do have a right and a very good reason to do so.

i don't know but i think people don't like to think they are germy or something. my biggest problem is in a car with a sick person cause to air don't vent well . my thought is they go to work sick they go to class sick and they don't hear if they make people sick. so they keep on doing it plus alot of people think if they are carefull others wont get sick around them. i love your picture is that your doggie?

Are they friends? Tell them you can't be exposed to even mild illnesses. Don't assume they know. They haven't walked in your shoes, so don't think they're dumb.

Let them know your needs. Your friends will respect your needs.
If they don't then you have to INSIST. Have them call you if they want to talk... you can't get what they have over the phone!

If you would please have whomever is helping to care for you e-mail me, I would be glad as a retired home health nurse to tell him or her exactly how to immediately handle this situation for you in a most polite and friendly way. Let me talk to who's looking after you.
