yet they voted against the US more than 65% of the time in US sponsored resolutions. Is this how "friends" are supposed to back each other up? I think it proves that our "pal" Mexico is a selfish, self serving country. What do you think?

tmladenka - If what you say is true, wouldn't that be more of a reason for Mexico to vote for, and not against us?

Peter - type in "UN voting records" on any search engine and take your pick - it's a matter of record.

Tegeras - same as what I told Peter. Check it out, it's on numerous sites.

The Heritage Foundation - you'll call it a "usual hate site" because it ain't what you want to hear.

they are no friend but leeches i read somewhere that Mexico receives $1.166 billion (1995) annually in international aid. so what are they doing with every ones money i think that they should be held accountable with what they do with money given to them because it sure isn't helping the people now add that with the money sent over there and the money we spend taking care of their people here outstanding eh its time we cut them off free ride over !

May I add to that-I saw that and this a while back

How they vote in the United Nations:

Below are the actual voting records of various Arabic/Islamic States which are recorded in both the US State Department and United Nations records: (here is Peter and Tegeras sourse)

Kuwait votes against the United States 67% of the time

Qatar votes against the United States 67% of the time

Morocco votes against the United States 70% of the time

United Arab Emirates votes against the U. S. 70% of the time.

Jordan votes against the United States 71% of the time.

Tunisia votes against the United States 71% of the time.

Saudi Arabia votes against the United States 73% of the time.

Yemen votes against the United States 74% of the time.

Algeria votes against the United States 74% of the time.

Oman votes against the United States 74% of the time.

Sudan votes against the United States 75% of the time.

Pakistan votes against the United States 75% of the time.

Libya votes against the United States 76% of the time.

Egypt votes against the United States 79% of the time.

Lebanon votes against the United States 80% of the time.

India votes against the United States 81% of the time.

Syria votes against the United States 84% of the time.

Mauritania votes against the United States 87% of the time.

All receive U S Foreign Aid

Now add

Egypt, for example, after voting 79% of the time against the United States, still receives $2 billion annually in US Foreign Aid.

Jordan votes 71% against the United States

And receives $192,814,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

Pakistan votes 75% against the United States

Receives $6,721,000 annually in US Foreign Aid.

India votes 81% against the United States

Receives $143,699,000 annually.

Perhaps it is time to get out of the UN and give the tax savings back to the American workers who are having to skimp and sacrifice to pay the taxes (and for their gasoline).

Can you tell me what the U.N. has done for us and the rest of the free world lately? I can't think of a thing but steal oil for food money, park the Diplomatic cars wherever they want and bring contraband into the USA in sealed Diplomatic Pouches. I've had enough. Let's move them out of the USA and not show up for their sessions or pay their dues.

I didn't write this-it was a web page-about a month ago. But I don't know if I would help a friend who rarely agrees with any thing I ask but takes my money. That is a bit much.
Just thought I would pass that along.

I bet the American corporations that are exploiting Mexico's cheap labour don't think so. The US wouldn't give $56 billion to anyone for free. The money most likely went to corrupt Mexican politicians who made sure US companies in Mexico aren't bothered by environmental regulations or labour laws. NOTHING IS FREE MY FRIEND.

Nice, where are your sources? no sources then you are just making it up.

Link the sites and I am not talking about the usual hate sites, link reputable sites.

Nice site, same one asking for everyone to forgive Iraq's 383 billion in debt. Of course most of it is ours. Not to mention our 3.4 trillion debt. Also something about Brazil owing 103 billion ( a lot more than what Mexico owes us). Not to mention total US aid around the world was close to 500 billion, 56 billion is a drop in the bucket.

You really need to take a look at the big picture, honestly. You are trying to make it look like Mexico is some form of parasite. While we do send them money in the form of foreign aid they are by far not the biggest recipients.

Btw there are some 2005-2006 figures there as well. No need to post old info.

Look they had a vary good reason for giving all that money away - the USA didn't need it - as you should well know from 1993 - 1998 USA had no homeless people , everyone had lots of food , and medical coverage , the schools had so much money they just couldn't find any place else to spend it and so forth

I would love to see all US foreign aid get stopped for a year or two. Then we might here a different tune in the UN.

They would take us over in a heart beat if they could. I'm talking about the leaders here not people personally.

I think you're trying to blame Clinton for a problem that had NOTHING to do with him in the first place.

Faithless friends, indeed...
