You're the one in love with this man, you're the one who may have to live with him (if you get married or move in with him), you're the one who'll spend tons of time with him . . . take your friends hand and thank you with all of your heart for her caring so much about you but gently tell her that you are in love with him. Tell her to be there for you as you will for her . . . but this is your relationship . . .

It depends. Do these relationships with older men usually work out? Does your friend have a reason other than the age difference to be concerned. If you have had some positive experiences, your guy is SINGLE, and not a nut case, then you should go for it. Be warned, the age difference may not matter much now, but in another 15 years he will be 57 and you'll only be 41. You'll still be in your prime and he'll be nearly 60. Lifestyles change considerably at those ages so be sure you have enough in common and he is in good shape. Otherwise, you'll find yourself stifled and depressed in just a few short years. Listen to your friends, but in the end, its YOUR life, not theirs.

I'm 26 too, and a few weeks ago I went out with a guy that was 41. Over the phone it was fine, but in public it was awkward. But because he didn't impress me for being of his age. If this guy is great, who cares what your friend thinks. It's your life and at the end of the day (so to speak) only you are going to care about you, your friend just has an opinion, don't take it as advice, just opinion.

No it's what you think that counts. If the age difference doesn't bother you then that's all that matters. I personally only liked younger guys and could of never seen myself with anyone more than a few years older. I have fallen for someone 15 years older than me and realized it is not the age but the person that matters. If you have allot in common and click go for it. Unfortunately I will probably never have the opportunity to be with mine as he is over 3000 miles away but best of luck to you.

No, not if that's who you want to be with. I know a couple of women who are married to men more than 20 years older than they are who have marriages that have lasted for over 10 years, so it's not necessarily a problem. My wife is less than 10 years younger than I, but had I met & fallen in love with someone much younger I wouldn't have let that bother me.

No,you shouldn't care what she thinks.MOst female friends WILL act like they don't like your b/f(or soon 2 be b/f) out of spite & jealousy, don't give in! YOU like him, & that is all that matters, your friend isn't the one involved in the relationship. If he treats you well & make YOU happy just forget what others say

No, you shouldn't care what your best friend thinks. If you like him, and he likes you, age shouldn't matter. Maybe she is secretely jealous because he likes him too!

If you love him and he loves you too, I don't think you should care. It's your right and preference to date older guys.
