I agree it is but this mess has been going on long than we could imagine.
you have to understand the history of the islamic countries in order to really understand why things are the way it is. It starts with a father and two sons. Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael....
God promised Abraham through his wife Sarah that his seed would be like the countless stars in the sky and will make him and his child a great nation and most important that he would send his son to die for us through his lineage. When God made that promise Abraham & Sarah was already old. and Abraham try to fill the prophecy through another woman and had Ishmael ...even though Ishmeal was blessed ...the promise or the inheritance was given to Isaac whom was latter born by Sarah.... now the custom was in that time the older son would recieve such a blessing... instead Ishmael was sent away and through his seed came the islamic race.Still blessed to be a great nation but bitter and that has been pass down from generation to generation... fighting for what they believe is theirs and not his brother.
what makes it a religious war is that Ishmael inheritence believe that the true God dwells with them when the True God came through the Israelites (Isaac inheritence) and died for our sins.

I think most all islamic countries suffered a mess because of their wrong doings and also by foreign intervere bad doings..Iraq and Afghanistan wre attacks by other countries.Libanon is not an Islamic country but has many muslims attackes also by other country.Iran is intimidated also by other countries and has economic blockade.by foreign countries.Pakistan is always disturbed by India..Their Islamic countries 'oil is attracked most of foreign countries.Maybe they want instability of those countries.

that too for no fault of theirs. They're the ones being invaded by other countries for their oil wealth or to establish strategic bases for the invaders.
lots of Muslim countries are peaceful and on the road to development.
but yes, I agree, there is a lot more that needs to be done.

spain used to be islamic, and it went through a golden age. in fact in history, islamic societies had the brightest minds, most respected philosophers and mathematicians, and hugest libraries in the world. its only in modern times that things have taken a turn for the worse.

it's not quite accurate. there are gulf countries, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, and others. they are not really in real mess.
