I dyed my daughter's when she was 3.
But I think for you, the answer is that you can dye your hair when your parents say so. Or, you can dye it whenever you want to, but there may be consequences. (Like being grounded until it grows out, or a very short haircut!)

Hair does not mature until about 16yrs. So coloring it can be tricky. But it can be done. it depends if you are going lighter or darker. If going lighter I would not go to light because you could fry it off.Going darker or just changing the tone. should not be a problem. Just remember, once you go darker its really hard to go lighter. So you better be really really sure that its what you want.
I am a hairdesigner and that is my professional opinion.
IS the red lighter or darker than your natural hair color. Use what I told you to make your descision. You should be able to go 1 or 2 levels lighter but not more.

There are no laws against coloring hair at home, however if real young someone would need to buy it for and also do it for you. ALSO, some states do have laws as to how young they allow it, for instance, Ohio you have to be 12. Call a local salon and see what they say!

incredibly, in case you're under 18, then you certainly would desire to attend until eventually you're sufficiently outdated, or, until eventually you could prepare on your mom which you're mature adequate for her to supply permission. Any respected hair salon won't shade (or do any chemical treatemnt) to all and sundry under 18 with-out having parental permission first. They threat entering into enormous worry in the event that they do. Now, that being suggested, whilst i grew to become into like sixteen, i could go and get the hair dye from CVS & do it whilst my mom did not understand. in case you want to attempt going lighter, try "sunlight -In" . Spray this in & then use a hair dryer to "turn on" it (or, you could take a seat interior the sunlight, yet, undecided the place you're even though it fairly is FREEZING the place i'm). in case you employ those products, ascertain you employ a good DEEP conditioner simply by fact the stuff interior the sunlight In will make your hair experience crunchy & dry it out. in case you attempt to do a brown shade & going darker than your typical shade, it is going to be ordinary to do with "container" shade. My suggestion is this, nevertheless: quite of having the container that asserts "medium brown" get the two the "mild brown" or, much greater appropriate "dark blonde". the reason being this: once you go darker, the colour will come out a minimum of one shade darker than it says. I even have dyed my hair quite a few cases with a "dark blond" & it has come out the two mild or medium brown. in case you positioned the medium brown in, I guarentee you it is going to look dark brown or maybe black. At that component, you may have a multitude on your palms as you will would desire to bleach it to look even good & i will guarentee you your mom won't enable you are trying this. So, get the "dark blond" shade & try that. Worse case senerio, if it nonetheless seems too mild, decide for the "mild brown" because it fairly is ordinary to darken your hair yet a discomfort interior the butt to lighten it :)
