pay the $25 dollars
fill out the form
let the judge make the decision
you're done. There is no other way to do it, unless you get married and the name change is part of the deal.

Contact your clerk of courts. I did it in FL (changed first, middle and last, lol, dont ask) and it was like $80. I didnt need anyone to help me and all you have to wait for is the judge to sign the papers. Which took the a hole in FL three months...

When you get married you can change your name to whatever you want (Even Rainbow Brite!). It is usually 10$ to 50$ mattering on the state and county.
