Well, in two more days, Rosh Hashanna begins. You can start by repenting of any vengeful thoughts towards this man.
One of the sacrifices under the Levitical Law is for sins done in ignorance. Surely, you can see that the man was ignorant.(lol with me, here.)
There will always be those that abuse God's Chosen.

I'm all for rebuking the hell out of people. Y'shua did it, so it's good enough for me!
I'd be prone to say something like. "Well, better to be a Jew than an idiot." (With a tiredly annoyed look, rolling eyes heavenward)
And if he said, "What's the difference?" (trying to keep up the insult) I'd say, "I'm Jewish. You're not. Very simple. There's your sign."
I am a Christian, and while I know many Christians think turn the other cheek means to take abuse, I know differently. Y'shua said if your brother sins against you, REBUKE HIM. Then IF he repents, to forgive. And turn the other cheek means to establish with your enemy that you FEAR THEM NOT - it's not to be some mild-mannered milktoast. God says in the bible that THE RIGHTEOUS ARE AS BOLD AS A LION!
Please don't let the anti-semitism of God's enemies define who and what you are. Real Christians know better, and we love Israel and the Jewish people. I know exactly what you mean, when someone tells me bad stuff beacuse I am Jewish I just stare them right in the eye without talking, it gets them confused, and in my head I curse them all the curse words I know.
Don't try to answer or defend our belief, it will just complicate stuff more, let the things they say come through your right ear and leave through your left one. It's the best way.
In your head you should know that our religion is true and good.

just know that this guy is very narrow minded. Take his words, forgive him for it, and move on hoping that this guy will straighten himself out. By doing this you will be doing the right thing, you will feel good about yourself, and this guy might slowly have a change of heart. Don't hold resentment. It never takes you anyway but toward anger and hate.

Ignore him. He's an ignorant jackass.
If he's someone at work, that is a differnt story. You do not have to put up with slurs.
But basically, this guy isn't worth your tears or rage or whatever. He's an asss.

He is the only one responsble for the words that come out of his mouth,and you are responsble for how you respond.the person is ignorant and probably just said it to get a rise out of you.I would just figure that anything he says from now on isn't worth listening to.

What other people think of you is really none of your business. In addition, what another says about you can only hurt if down, maybe way down somewhere you believe it to be true to at least some degree.
