It is the fastest growing profession in America, so i guess there are lots of people who go. Sessions run 30 to 60 minuites, cost 25-75 bucks (some insurances will cover), talk about your eating habits and how you can improve them. Give you lots of handouts, like diets, etc.

i went to visit a nutritionist about 5x & the nutritonist gave me a printout of what percent of each vitamin & mineral i got according to the food journal that i turned in prior. we talked about healthy eating habits & the dangers of eating too much or too little or the wrong food. the insurance paid for it. i went about once every 3 weeks.

Every 6 months. You talk about your weight, height, and the foods that you eat.

My doctor sent me to one. My insurance did pay. It is very interesting and you do not need to take notes, as they have everything you need in printed form. In my case, it was for a diabetic plan and I did not have to return.
