Yes...
There are two forms of leprosy -- lepromatous and tuberculoid.
The lepromatous form is more severe, characterized by large nodular lesions. Since the immune response is impaired in this form, the formation of granulation tissue or scarring is limited.
The tuberculoid form is less severe, and is associated with a normal immune response that causes granulation-type lesions. Where the bacilli in the lesions are few, tissue damage is less, and response to therapy is better. Forms between the two are also seen, and all cause crippling disfigurement.

when reading Leviticus chapters 13 and 14 It seems that leprosy was a word used for a variety of skin conditions, that had more to do with cleanliness and sanitation.

Healed of leprosy?
Leprosy could not cured until modern times and even then, success is not assured.
Claims of miraculous healings had no credibility then, have no credibility today.
If Jesus cured leprosy, why do we still have leprosy?

um, no. leprosy was rampant because people had no sense of hygiene or sterilization. same reason most people died on an operating table prior to the 20th century.

i agree with the guy who answered first, but Jesus was kind of healing them spiritually when he healed them physicaly. he also healed them, not only to make them well in his sight, but to show others that he was really the Son of God.

Not really. You could say that about any disease. Imagine if AIDS was around then. Not that AIDS is a disease.
