so now that you've heard a bunch of wacko home remedies let's get to the root of the problem. the issue is that a burn once on the skin continues to burn as long as it is hot so ANYTHING you apply that is cold helps. it can be butter, water, mayo, cucumber slices, or whatever happens to be sitting in your fridge. obviously once the product gets warm you'll need to replace it with something cold again. its very important that you don't rub. just apply the coolness to your skin and peel back carefully. rubbing may cause you to tear off that precious protective skin.
once the severe pain of the burn has died down you can apply a healing product. this can be aloe, analgesic, burn spray. anything that will help the healing is good.
thats all you need to learn. don't waste precious time hunting down a fresh aloe plant or slicing groceries. just cool that sucker off and help it heal.
i've been the victim of many many many burns of all types and sizes. i'm a clutz. first aid is critical knowledge to me.

Apply cool water and/or ice to keep cool. Repeat for 24 hours and cover with a gauze bandage with tape on outside area only (not to wrap over burned area) and you an apply Aloe Vera at this tiem. If you don't have a plant handy, you can get a pure extract from most local pharmacies or drugstores. After 48 hours have passed let the burned area heal in the air, without a bandage, but continue to apply Aloe Vera. If it really is a minor burn, it will heal in a short time. If it is more serious, please see a doctor.

I have tried a lot of home remedies but the best ever that does not even leave a blister on my minor kitchen burn is guess what ? - FRESH TOMATOES ! Yes, just slice your tomato and apply the cut half of it onto your burn. It works all the time for me...I hope it works well to you and others reading this.

Aloe Vera, use the plant itself, not creams, just cut a "leaf" in a half an use the viscous part in the burn, let stay for a while.

make a paste of baking soda and cold water apply it to the burn until it starts to sting again then wash off and re-apply, it only takes a couple of applications to stop the burn and the blister heals more quickly too.
