My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Hahaha, thats not true at all. It depends on the individuals body type and metabolism, not their sex.
It's hilarious the sexist based questions in here. Penis has nothing to do with how fast or slow you loose weight. Men and women DO store more or less fat on there bodies in different places do to the different body types. But it's mainly about metabolisms.
There are plenty of girls who eat junk food all day, and look like twigs, and men who eat barely anything, and are fat.
Also, for those who speak of muscle mass: not all men have the same body types. Some men have a lot of muscle mass, while some have very little. Some women have more muscle mass than some men. Not all men are walking giants, and not all women are little dainty creatures.
Don't blindly believe what ever experts say, take in the info and consider it, but more importantly, look at what happens in actuality (without any biased filters to blind you from the truth) to see if what they say holds up. They aren't always accurate. Never trust these peoples statistics test!
Thumbs down for the logical truth, oh yeah.

Well, first of all men have faster metabolisims.
they also have more muscles causing more calories to burn. Every muscle you have burns 60-100 calories just by being there. The more you have, the more calories you burn, this is also why men may sweat more.
Experts on the issue say that because men have more muscle mass than women, those muscles burn more calories while at rest.
The rate at which one's muscles burn calories while at rest is called the basal metabolic rate. The higher the basal metabolic rate, the easier it is for someone to burn calories and lose weight.
"When they go on a diet, they just seem to automatically lose weight," said Eloise Doxie Dixon, director of counseling and wellness at Xavier University in New Orleans about people with high metabolic rates.
Another reason men lose weight faster than women is that they have less body fat.

MUSCLE! Muscle is the answer, it burns the calories and men have a higher percentage muscle to weight ratio. It is a fact of life, like women living an average of 8 yrs longer. So pick up some weights and up your muscle to weight ratio and lose weight faster and feel better too.

That is because most men are born with a higher fat to muscle ratio then women, which means that their bodies will always have more muscle than fat, unless they are overweight or obese. Muscle burns more fat than, well, fat. So, no matter how much they seem to pig out, they'll almost always return to their normal body weight.
Take my brother for example. He's about my height, 5'3", and he can eat as much as a small village, but he is still underweight and doesn't seem to ever gain an ounce. Sure, metabolism does play a roll in his weight, but it's mostly the result of a higher muscle to fat ratio.

Its the way women are built. For one, women naturally have more fat because women are built for child birth. We also store fat in other places. Its much easier to lose weight on the stomach than it is everywhere else and on the hips. Men also have higher metabolisms which they can raise again when they are older much easier then women can raise their metabolisms. There are many more factors to it but basically it is just more hard and takes longer for women to lose weight then men.
And to the bozo brain above, women are usually more dedicated but men just lose it easier.

...You'll need to speed up your metabolism...
You can do this a few ways that don't include exercising. First, you can drink a lot of cold water. Cold water "stokes" your body's fat burning ability because of thermogenesis. Basically, your body got cold because of the water and needs to heat itself up to regain normal body temperature.
You're tricking your body. So take a sip of some ice water every 10 minutes so you keep "stoking" your body into that reaction.
Second, eat more often... but make them smaller meals.

simply put men have more muscle mass. muscle burns a tremendous amount of calories even at rest. you can boost your calorie burn by lifting weights and buliding muscle too. you don't have to get all freaky big like those female bodybuilders. any increase in lean muscle mass will help you out a bunch. i wish you all the best sweetie.
