*sigh* so many people missunderstand Christians...

Christians do not consider breasts obscene, in fact the Bible tells husbands to enjoy their wife's breasts!

it's not that they're obscene.. it's that Christians aren't supposed to enjoy any woman's breasts other than their wife's... it also says that you should not look at another woman and lust, which is why Christians believe pornography is wrong..

I guess it depends how they're exposed. I mean if you see a mother breastfeeding on a parkbench in the playground, that's tender. You see some chick on a street corner saying, Hey baby, want this? That's obscene. I am Christian and I don't believe exposed breasts are the least bit obscene. It's you men that have made all the laws and said it was so. Think about it, for years women could not breastfeed in public! You men made the laws, not us! Good Lord, for years we couldn't go to work without a "proper bra" on. Still can't in some places. God forbid your nipples might excite some perv. We didn't make it obscene, you guys did! But to follow your insane logic: ***** are for making babies. You want guys to walk around with their ***** hanging out ? And then say, Why do Christians believe exposed penises are obscene when they're for making babies? What authority says Christians believe exposed breasts are obscene? Is this one of those "Let me see how many women I can irritate questions?"
Oh, I get it. Your first name is "Dick," right? And you're pissed off 'cause your mommy wouldn't breastfeed you and you had to suck a bottle. POOR BABY! You go Nikki! That's telling him!

There is nothing obscene about a breast that is doing its job! The breasts are, however, very erogenous areas of our bodies. They serve a dual role. I have no problem with breasts being shown while they're feeding a baby, but I don't want to see them used in a sexual way, or portrayed in a way that's supposed to be sexual, because that's something that's private. I have no business seeing it, and they have no business showing it!

Sorry to disappoint, but I am a Christian and I do have sex and I have 3 kids and i breast fed all of them, even in public.Honestly I didn't care who didn't like it and who did. I was discreet but the way I see it, I am not the one that had or has a problem with it. I don't understand why you say Christians have a problem with it... Just like all groups or races or religions, in the bunch there will be many different people with different opinions. When it comes down to feeding your baby, NOBODY should be concerned about what they see and don't see. Like I said, it is there problem and THEY will have to deal with it.

First of all, you're stereotyping and that's just plain ignorant. Secondly, I'm a Christian and I don't think the exposed female breast is obscene -- it's just culturally unacceptable in America. When I see the exposed women in National Geographic I don't think they're wrong or obscene -- they just live in a different cultural climate. In fact, I can't think of a single Christian I know who thinks the exposed female breast is actually obscene -- it's just not acceptable in the American culture. Please try to be less judgmental, lest you run the risk of being seen as ignorant.

I love breasts, but seeing A baby breast feed just doesn't turn me on. I don't think it's obscene

When I was a young man, in our community (rural Texas) women who exposed anything above the elbow, above the knee, or below the neckline were considered immoral (whores).

Christians who whine about Muslims oppressing women and also claim they want to return to the "good old days" are talking from both sides of their mouth.

Many Christians derive their warped views of the human body from the sect known as "Puritans" and the "why" is unknown other than they seem to think the human body is in and of itself wicked and evil.

Those claiming the naked body inspires lust have obviously not seen many naked bodies in real life.

What an odd question! Have you ever women walk in public showing their breasts? It's not just christians who view it as obsese, rather, most all of society.

Breast feeding is completely different. Babies walk around naked in the house because they havent matured enough to realize their nakednes.

Well, a lot of people think breasts are sexy, not just Christians.

As a woman, I prefer to keep them covered and supported. I wear a C or D, depending on manufacturer (of my bra, not my breasts!), and it can get real uncomfortable to go topless, plus I'd be inviting gravity to do its worst!

you know maybe if men didn't fight the babies for them there wouldn't be a problem with it.

and it isn't just Christians that have a problem with a woman that breastfeeds in public I have run across many an atheist agnost and plain old rude people who think it is wrong even when my breast was fully covered.
