Poor little turtle, he is both...I think we should get a government agency involved and pay a bunch of bureaucrats a bunch of money to study homeless, naked turtles. Nothing will be done of course, except the bureaucrats will not be homeless or naked, unless they are in session, then I hear, there is a lot of naked carrying on....cause we are all getting boinked!!! Peace.

Turtle's shells are connected by muscle tissue to them. Pull out the Turtle, ou just ripped it's head off.

If a turtle doesn't have a shell, he is dead. Their back bone is connected to their shell so despite what cartoons may show, it isn't possible for a turtle to survive without its shell.
