Whole wheat bread, brown rice, Kashi cereal - Go Lean is very high in fiber. Barley. Any fruits and vegetables.

Veggie burgers and whole wheat buns are a great combination for controlling the glucose levels.

There are other cereals like Fibre One, oatmeal is also good. Most light bread are high in fiber as are whole grain breads. Freihofer's (If they are in your area) makes a whole wheat English muffin with 8 grams of fiber.

Good Luck, but you can do it, by SO is a diet control diabetic and his glucose is usually staying under 120, sometimes even down in the 80s after we make meals using these foods. The other day, he had 2 veggie burgers and 1 regulary burger with ketchup and cheese. ANd some raw veggies and his glucose after 2 hours was 92.

I haven't heard of fiber bringing down sugar levels. Usual course is to eat less carbs, raw sugar and sweets, increase exercise and lose weight.

High fiber items:

Brocolli
kale
broccoli rabe
lettuce
beans
celery
celeriac
oatmeal
prunes
dried fruits
corn
tomatoes
cukecumbers with the skin, not peeled
fresh string beans
spinach (though not the bagged variety as most of this is contaminate with e-coli here in US)
fresh fruits, especially
1 oranges
2 grapefruit
3 apples

All beans and lentils.

And keep up with your water, because it increases metabolism and helps the kidneys to filter wastes more efficiently, giving the body generally better health.

Best wishes, and don't forget to get your blood sugar checked frequently, because sometimes medical intervention is necessary.

OK- Stay away from white foods- bread, rice, potatoes, etc. You need to eat whole grains, such as wheat, barley, oats, quinoa, buckwheat, etc. Whole- and as much as possible- raw veggies and fruits. Don't forget to eat the edible skins on apples, pears, grapes, sweet potatoes, and all of your other favorites. Flax meal is a great way to up your fiber and get omega-3's, too. There's a website called www.caloriecountercharts.com- they have a lot of different charts- but I'm not sure if fiber is listed. Good Luck!

Look for a lower carb, higher protein diet. Usually it has more fiber in it to make up for the lack of sugar and carbs (carbs break down into sugar anyway if they don't get used up). Eat more fats as that would be your main energy source instead of carbs. Meat, peanut butter, eggs, cheese, butter, lots of veggies and berries, pork rinds (for snacking instead of chips)low carb whole wheat bread-- get a carbohydrate counter booklet to find which veggies are lowest in carbs, usually the lower carb veggies are higher in fiber, like squash, tomatoes, green beans, lettuce, avocado, etc... Fiber IS a type of carbs but it is used by the body differently than other carbs in such a way as they go right through you, so eat as much fiber as you want.

If you want to bring you sugar levels down use Nopales. (Cactus) You can buy it in the produce section, I go to Stater Brothers, and mix it in your blender with some orange juice. It is very high in fiber, helps lower cholesteral, and is great for diabetes. My husband and I drink this everyday. You can check this information out by searching Medicinal Benefits of Nopales. Instead of eating 20-30 items you can just use this one and see how it works. For each glass of O.J. I add approx. 1 cup of Nopales. (It comes in a plastic bag already cleaned and chopped up.) You might also want to start eating oatmeal for breakfast and cooked barley for dinner instead of rice. Good Luck!

High blood levels of glucose can cause several problems, including frequent urination, excessive thirst, hunger, fatigue, weight loss, and blurry vision. However, because type 2 diabetes develops slowly, some people with high blood sugar experience no symptoms at all. How to treat diabetes naturally https://tr.im/Zwl1J

Symptoms of type 1 diabetes:

Increased thirst
