Well if he is supposed omnipotent, why is the world so "fragile"
After all, the planet gets a little warmer and all of a sudden polar bears start drowning....
BTW, I LOVE the new avatar...

Numbers 23:19 says God is not a man that He should lie. God's omnipotence guarentees that God can do whatever is logically possible. He cannot do the absurd or the ridiculous. For example, He cannot draw a square circle, or create a mountain so big He cannot move it. He cannot lie because whatever He says occurs. Even if He said the sky was pink, it would become pink! God Bless You

In Titus it says: "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began..."
Nope, Christians, based on the Bible, don't feel that God can lie.
He's omnipotent within his character: Justice, love, mercy, sovreignty. And if you really think about it, I doubt "his hands are tied" when it comes to lying; it's more like he cannot lie, or he would step outside of his very essence.
Really, his omnipotence isn't at issue with me. If you prove him to be non-omnipotent, it doesn't mean he is not God, not my God, not my Father and not my Savior. So, under your definition, no, He is not omnipotent.

No God cannot lie. See Titus 1:2, it litterally says that God cannot lie.
It would indeed be against his character and goodness. People who ask questions like, "Could God make a rock so big that He Himself couldn't lift it?" have no grasp of who God really is.
There are pleanty of things that God cannot do. He cannot lie, steal, commit adultery, ect... In other words God cannot sin.

If God spoke something that wasn't true, it's quite likley that it would immediately become true.
If that's not omnipotent, than I don't know what is!

God cannot do anything that is against His character or nature. He is total truth, not one shred of falsehood, therefore He can never lie.

Isn't a lie only something perceived wrong by others?

lying is a sin, and God hates sin, so it will make no sense to do something that you hate. Let's say you hate pancakes, even though you can eat it, will you, if you really don't like it?
