As soon as I feel tired I go right to bed. No caffeine at night and I take naps early in the day so they don't interfere with sleep later.

Working out early in the day usually means I won't have trouble falling asleep that night. Also I put lavender oil on my pillows and sheets sometimes, and listen to music or a book on my ipod at a low volume once I get in bed if I can't sleep.

I used to have insomnia. I tried a number of ways to fall asleep-- and finally had to find ways to relax before bed.

First you should probably find out what's keeping you up. Most likely you're stressed about something... That might be a good place to start.

Second-- cover up the clock-- if you keep staring at it-- you'll never fall asleep.

Third-- go to Barnes and Noble and look at ways to relax, cure insomnia... pick up a cd with relaxing "rain" music.

Before you go to bed try writing down your thoughts in a journal. Make your to do lists-- so you're not thinking about them while trying to catch some Z's....

and Lastly -- relax.... think about relaxing each muscle in your body starting with your toes and working your way up.

Just don't think to much-- that was my big problem! Good Luck-- I hope you fall asleep soon! :)

What i suggest you do is put a heat pad in your bed because when i am cold i always wake up. So roll your eyes and close your eyes and think of happy thoughts, or if you are not comfortable with that exercise a lot in the daytime and put your head on the pillow and your gone, It works for me but i recommend you try it.

I try not to think of anything while waiting to go to sleep. Since I have a busy lifestyle (I'm a college student), I have a tendency to "not want to waste time" while waiting to sleep. That's silly, though.

I sleep best when I clear my mind of thoughts for a few minutes.

Turn off the computer and tv by 9:00, take a long hot lavender scented bubble bath and drink one glass of wine.

A cup of hot chocolate helps me and I also it helps if I stay off the computer for a couple of hours before I turn in. Don't know why. And eating carbohydrates late makes me sleepy.

Nothing much, I just go to bed and don't think about anything that's been bothering me. I just sometime fantasize about winning the lottery or rescuing someone or anything good..I just don't dwell on problems. I usually fall asleep within minutes.

well I guess you just have to know that you have done a decent day's work, are satisfied with that, and be grateful that the next morning you can wake up
