there are a lot of reasons why you may not be able to go to sleep. Maybe you had a hard day or there are some things going on in your life that make it difficult to fall asleep. Usually, people have a hard tim falling asleep because they have so much on their mind.
Some people say to stay away from using your bed for everything, some people eat, watch tv and do homework in their bed and so when you're ready to sleep, your body makes it difficult to associate the bed with sleep.
Try slowing yourself down before you go to sleep by thinking about your days events, lay down only when you are ready to go to bed as well. If it's stress related, it will get better with time.

stop stressing it takes me an hour to fall asleep but that is cuz i am pregnant b4 that i started sleeping with a body pillow and it helped a back rub and if that dont work my sister masturbates in a relaxing bath and she is asleep in less then 15bminutes. Try thinking about your toesrelax them first them ankles legs and work your way up and even relax your nails and hair and this will take your mind off what every you are thinking about and you will fall asleep if not try talking to a doc could be a chemical imbalance

I have the same problem. Sometimes I see 3am before I finally fall asleep. On those days I suck down 2 or 3 beers.

You might not be expending enough energy during the day to tire your body out at bedtime. Also, drinking milk before bedtime helps, calcium makes you tired. Are you too stressed out because of your day, if so you need to relieve this stress somehow. You shouldn't drink or eat anything with caffiene or sugar before bed time either that'll keep you up.

may be b'cos u would hav slept in day time?
or u just do any work during night until u get sleep....Ther is no rule that u should sleep quick..ok so don worry..just do some work [read books,hear musics,or best take som borin books which may lead u to sleep,watch TV ] until u feel asleep then u wake up late...nothin wrong is goin to happen..
[in my college i sleep by 2am only and wen i go home i am unable to sleep until 2 am , eventhough my parents compelled,i am unable to sleep]

if your mind is running with everything you did today and what you need to do tomorrow or the next day, you'll never fall asleep. relax, think of nothing, and let your mind rest. either watch mindless tv you don't care about or read a book to get your mind off of everything.

Don't eat late, at least 4hrs before you go to bed. Hot chocolate helps you go to sleep, so give it a try. A glass of milk with a little bit of sugar or honey helps too. Good luck.

Hi Blue, It sounds like you are having problems letting you mind rest down.Try to relax yourself before you go to bed.This is going to sound funny,but i drink a hot cup of coffee 1 hour before i go to bed.This relax me,and i can go to sleep.You might want to try this,It can't hurt. A FRIEND.
