More than likely more than we can imagine. It should be a american law that everyone own a gun and by god now how to use it. For protection for recreation and for just plain ol being a american. Guns built this country and if them yankees and ferries don't believe that they can all go straight to helI.

Monkeys can shoot. Hitting the thing you intend is a different matter. I would say that it depends on age. The younger you are, the less likely you know how. As restrictions and range closures have increased, the exposure of shooting to young folks is greatly reduced every year. Take note that the number of hunting licenses country wide is at its lowest point ever.
One would figure that the knowledge would be necessary at the minimum so that people can be safe around guns. But as usual, the conspiracy of ignorance masquerades as common sense.

The percentage of Americans that do not know how to fire a firearm is close to 99%. Almost anyone can pull a trigger, but it takes skill and practice to fire one with any semblance of accuracy.

if you think you can shoot a gun from watching movies, you brobably can't. I would say it would be at least 50% who would not know how to load/chamber/remove safety/etc.....But if the gun were all ready to fire safety off any compotent adult could pull the trigger.

shooting and aiming are two totally different things. Here in North Carolina, most people own about 10 guns per household, so our numbers are low also. aroud 0.00001%

I have grown up with guns and hunting all my life....would I ever choose to kill and animal or a bird....a big NO. My adult children are the only ones in the bigger family who wouldn't kill anything as small as a jack rabbit!! some of us just aren't in to guns...

lol...i dont..my hubby took me to an indoor shooting range I shot the gun and hit the ceiling...lol...yeah that wasnt too good...lol...hubby laughed at me and so did the other guys at the shooting range....i never went back!
